Do you think some citizens need the Minutemen?

I am a Minuteman. We are a group trying to help many which started with a few and has now grown very well and is still growing. We try to hurt no one. And yes we are shot at often by Drug Lords. And we are of all races since someone asked. Many from Hispanic origins.
Many answered I had over 30 before I was deleted. Not a question was the reason.
So my questions are how are we harming you? What laws do we break? And do you think we have a purpose?

Well you are not welcomed in all communities.

When minutemen came to ours the media, city government and border patrol criticized them for coming here.

They reported, the media, that the border patrol was perfectly capable of taking care of the borders.

We don't have a problem here. They come here just mainly to work and then they go back to Mexico.

Illegals don't commit crimes contrary to what all the people on this board say.

We have a safe, quite community here. I can go for a walk at night and not worry about being assaulted by anyone.

No one I know owns a gun here, why would we? its a pretty safe city. Its not a small city by any means, our population is 800,000.

Illegals really don't present any threat to anyone. Basically all they do is construction and landscaping. They really don't bother anyone.

So why would we need the minute men?

I totally support what you are doing.

You harm none by monitoring the border exept bring to light the very real problems that are known to be on the border. You help to document the very mass numbers of people that are breaking the laws of this country that so many want to ignore and needs not to just be brought to light, but the problem addressed and the laws enforced. If the only purpose that you serve is to prove the reality of the very numbers of people that are indeed swarming into this country, breaking the laws of this country - you have at the very least made it visible for those in political office to keep turning a blind eye and eventually have to address this very real problem and possibly stir the citizens to make known their view at the ballot box.

We also need to press the Mexican gov to address their very real problems which is what helps to drive the people to this country. If they can't/won't address the problems - then we as a country need to start looking at having Mexico being sent the bill for the feeding and caring of their citizens.

We also need to press that companies that hire illegals pay hefty fines and no more turning a blind eye or a slap on the wrist at best.

Four questions......I will answer them all.

1. No I don't think SOME citizens need Minutemen.
2. Your not harming ME in the least.....BUT....you have formed a group that specifically targets humans......I don't agree with that.
3. I have never said you have broken ANY laws.....this is the United States....you have the right to form a group.....do I need to put examples?
4. Yes.....you have a purpose. A sick twisted purpose..but a purpose none the less.

I like the minutemen idea too but all i see is armed rednecks am i wrong? user name KNIGHTS ON THE JOB... We all know thats what the klan refered to themselves as KNIGHTS in hoods riding white horses burning the cross which is not a religous symbol but a logo of the KKK and templars and there desendant groups filtering down.
Why are they armed To intimidate mexican women and children? I request all LEGAL minorities to go join the minutemen and show up with regestered side arms too to protect your selves from terrorists of course.
And to stop any abuses , You have the same legal rights they do to carry under the same laws.
You can sue if denied based on race so dont be intimidated thats all they know how to do.
Remember the minutemen need you today to stop terrorists.

Go get 'em! I would ask you to re-direct your question to only those individuals living in the border areas. They have the true perspective on the issue. Someone from say suburban Boston can afford to be more sensitive to the Illegals. I live on the "other border", and would welcome your presence in our town. It's not just a "Mexican thing", it's just that the volume is greater on the Southern border. The Minutemen are doing what needs to be done in a legal and appropriate fashion. They are not opposed to anyone entering through the "front door", just those who are trying to sneak in the the back window.

I support the Minutemen. Obviously the border patrol isn't getting it done on their own, there aren't enough of them and the government won't really help.We do need the minutemen, the people who don't support you guys( and likely got your question deleted) either don't understand you guys or don't want you interfering with their "open borders" views. I live on the border so I know how important you guys are and what a HUGE problem we have.

I think that the Minutemen have the intellectual capacity of kindergarden students. They are solely interested in treating the symptoms, and not the underlying problems regarding immigration. They work with almost a child-like misunderstanding of the world around them. It's very sad, in my opinion.

You are a very courageous group of men and women. Thank you all for doing what you can under extremely hostile conditions. Illegals carrying deadly weapons have shot up a staggering 108% since last year here in Arizona. Thank you again for helping keep our country free of illegals.

You are an American hero. People like you, putting your life on hold, to help the country stop foreign invaders.... the President should invite you to the White House and award you a medal for good citizenship.

The people who criticize you are what we call "elitist intellectuals". They look down on the average American patriot, which is what you are. They view you with contempt, because they're jealous of your moral sense of right and wrong. They fail to realize all the money they spent on schooling did nothing to increase their common sense.
