They do it because they don't respect the human race they only respect the ones who believe in what they believe.
I was raised a Catholic, however, I decided I was a Christian non-denomination. I feel all people have the right to believe in whatever they feel makes them complete. There are so many people who believe that if people don't believe what they believe in they are horrible people.
These people have a problem. We are all here for a reason otherwise we wouldn't be here in the first place. To those people I say GROW UP!!!! STOP ACTING LIKE A CHILD, IT'S PATHETIC AND IT DOESN'T HELP ANYBODY.

Religion is a very private and personal thing, however two religions - the Christians and the Muslims try to convert others either by force or by some form of inducement or the other, as well as try to run down the other religions. Among the global religions these two happen to be the youngest, and maybe the brashest-Read history, both have gained numbers only because of force and co-coercion.
So when a Christian (and it is mainly they) call to others to help in conversion to what they claim something better, it would gall anybody. In the modern free world, you try to change people to your way of thinking in more a subtler manner than running down very deep and personal beliefs.
The Muslims, unfortunately, use only force, terrorism to convert, and then treat the converted as second class citizens not to be trusted, as do the Christians.
Let a person chose his own religion, don't force him to accept yours.
This is not meant to run down Christians or Muslims, but to explain why you get a lot of flack.
I personally believe that all religions have a main purpose - to secure their followers, and are good, even the religions that are considered pagan and infidel. Only human interpretations for personal gain besmirch them.

The only ones offended are those who insist they are right and everyone else is wrong.
Read some history and see if you find anything the Catholics may not like to recall. How does one reconcile the atrocities committed by the Catholic Church with an infallible Pope?

Ignorance is the main reason. and the hate it can cause. there are those who are truly influenced by evil forces. But most who rant the hate stuff are just sad and unhappy people who can not come to grips with why they have so much anger in them... That, and the fact that often times those who profess to be Christian or Catholic are their onw worst enemies.... The go off on the Holier than thou shtick and get folks angery when they sould'nt.... and sometime...The truth Hurts. and what is a common reaction to being hurt.... Lash out....

I don't think they they are targeting Catholics - I think that Christians, in general are the target. And it's because the Christians, particularly the "Bush Is God And We're Homo Hating People Who Are Going To Heaven And You're Not" get on here and rant and rave and preach as if they were the only people on earth.
Frankly, I don't care what anyone believes. I do care if someone throws their belief at me as if I'm a heathen for not following their belief, and tells me I'm damned because my beliefs don't follow theirs exactly.

I have no respect for the Catholic Religion, but I do have respect for people. The answer to this question is simple. Some people were not raised and taught how to act in public.

Ignore them
Your faith is far stronger than their bad manners and ignorance.
That behaviour reflects a lack of faith and a lack of self esteem.
You do not need their approval, for the way you conduct yourself And if you are a practicing Roman Catholic you're doing just fine.
You have nothing to apologise for, nor fear if you walk in God's footsteps and in his favour.
God bless.

I don't think much of them. I have always been taught to respect the beliefs of other people.
Not only are the Catholics picked on...so are the Wiccans, Pagans, Buddhist, Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witness, and Christians. (If I left anyone out I apologize.)

Hey I like Catholics, they don't go door to door, or preach and damn people to hell! Catholics are good people. So don't be offended, it's the bad ones we're after! Besides you people know what the others are ignorant to, the facts!
And Crazy Cat don't like DOGMA!
