LOL... when I worked fast food, I always had the longest line. All the regulars would come to me because I got them in and out and got their orders right. I'd take in 3-4 times as much money than any of the other cashiers. I would get a kick out of watching the customers in
the other lines because they'd be like third in line forever and my line was just moving right along. I was like 19 and working at a comfortable pace...I know what you mean!
My next bout with fast food found me working early mornings at a place that opened at 10AM. I had my system down; the manager would send the other employees to find me if they needed something to do. My system was simple: I'd go in the cooler when I got there with the prep list that had laminate or somethng on it. I'd put an A next to anything I felt needed to be done before we'd open. B meant before lunch, C meant before I left at 3:00. New manager comes in and wanted all the chopping done first, then all the sauces, then all the thises and thats. I always felt rushed. I led the crew walk-out and went to work for the store across town where I filled in quite a bit.

They have so many orders to fill and very little time. No one is perfect. How you feel if you where a fast food worker and some random person walks up to you and tells you "your stupid and dumb"?

How much do you think they actually care? They're doing crappy work for bitchy bosses and rude customers for minimum wage. Most of the people working fast food are high school and college students - they aren't planning on asking if you want to super size your order for the rest of their lives.
Have you ever worked fast food? I think everyone should - at least once in their lives - just so they know what's going on behind the scenes.

How hard is it to work ten hour days catering to jerks and ignorant people? Figure that out and maybe you'll understand that they are just people who are trying to make a living in a slow economy, and they are still human beings that make mistakes. They deserve a little respect, and if you choose to eat at fast food you should give it to them. People don't get in your face at work when you make mistakes, and start to make a scene, why should we do that to the employees of fast food restaurants.

Because the pay scale is so low and that's the kind of people they attract. That's why I stay away from fast food places - you can never tell what you're going to get as well as the service.

Not all fast food workers are dumb. Some of them maybe, there are just sooo many orders to remember and yours is just one of them, that's why they accidentaly juggle those orders and make mistakes. They aren't geniuses.

Amen, I understand that people mess up, But not every single time you go into any fast food place. Then you point out they mess up they make you feel like it your fault, or like you the reason the line is backed up.
