VERY hard to find a quality Schnauzer. by quality, i mean one that comes from champion lines or would be a good canidate for breeding or showing. If you don't care for these things, try online. type in Schnauzer puppy breeders. You SHOULD get some kind of list. I personally recommend looking for a breeder first. Usually, they are more reliable because they care not only for the dog but also for the breed. Also, you need to decide which kind of schnauzer you want; Giant, Standard, or Minature. Also, if you don't like territorial dogs, don't look for schnauzers. they have tendency of becomming "one owner/one family dogs" meaning that once they settle into a family, NO ONE else is allowed near them or the family. They will bark and alarm you for intruders as if their lives depended on it. Also, you need to verify that the tail is docked from a young age (3 days) and you need to decide if you are going to get its ears cropped (3-5) months. If you cant find a breeder, your last resort would be a pet shop. They are very loving and loyal dogs though. Hope you find one just for you.

I had a Salt and Pepper Schnauzer [BRANDY] growing up he was so good!! Very well behaved! If I were you I would research the Internet for breeders then see which ones are licensed . Be sure to take your time in choosing the breeder , ask alot of ?'s Like if you can see their Kennel and meet the parents of the puppies . Most responsible breeders will be happy to answer your ?'s.

This is the WORST place to ask!!! Go to a show, meet real/responsible breeders FIRST! That way you won't get screwed into paying big $$$$ for a pos.
