Can I fly from Georgia to Hawaii with pecans? I'm not talking to eat...I'm talking to bake with once I get there. They're literally four times the price there. (Be kind, I've only flown a few times in my life)

FYI: I searched the Department of Agriculture and Delta before I posted this question

You can bring them on as carryon or pack them. However, be prepared to open them up for inspection if necessary. Probably best to pack them in easily-sealed plastic bags.

Better check with Hawaiian Agriculture Department first. Might not like you to bring in uncertified, uninspected vegetation.

I would think it would be okay, but I have never flown. I would just pack them away. It would not be a problem unless they search your luggage.

Seeing as how Hawaii is an American island, not a foreign country, it should be just fine, as long as they are properly packaged for flight.

I called DELTA airlines customer support, and they said that if you pack it in your checked luggage, it shouldn't be a problem.
