"Make Sure of All things; Hold Fast to what is Fine!" 1 Th 5:21

Many people use religion to feed their pursuit of the seven deadly sins. With the proliferation of denominations and the voraciousness with which one sect hates the other, it is highly improbable that love will unite anyone. Money maybe, but not love.
Of greater concern to me is the probability that the human species will become extinct because of religious combat and ignorance.
Many religious nuts still say that there is no such thing as global warming. What if they were just as wrong about that as they were about the world being flat and the earth the center of the universe. The flat world and center of the universe concepts were minor in significance when compared to global warming. If the Christians are wrong about this one, we may quickly reach the point of cataclysm, no turning back, a new massive weather shift that once again leaves the cockroaches in charge.

The only way there will be one religion is when the Antichrist is ruling during his 7 years on earth. One religion is not the answer, you can't force people to believe the way you do. Certainly however, love IS the answer to unite people and we can only have that type of love through Jesus Christ. Will the world ever be united in serving God? The answer is no unfortunately, because God gives people choice. He wants people to love and serve Him because they want to, not because they have to. There are too many misconceptions about Christianity, but those come from people who don't understand. Romans 1:25 says They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Religion is not the only culprit...nor will any be the savior of anyone...however, to answer the ?...no, the power of love is what makes our lives here liveable to the extent that we can survive it.
The purpose of Earth is to be a place of grand accomplishment to all the souls who choose to spend their lifetime here...it is a place of greatest negativity, and allows the opportunity for spirit to grow quicker than anywhere else. Funny, how, while in a state of supreme bliss, we can take on anything, yet once we get here to fulfill our goals, we find that being restricted to human form & life is not so easy...to say the least!
On the brighter side, there will be a short time of total peace here...and that will signal the end of needing this destination anymore...hopefully, if they live a long life, our children will experience this peace, and their kids will get to see the ending.

The age of love has had over 2000 years to make that change.

The catholic church made a very good attempt.

Religions will never unite the human race.

When and if humans someday unite, it will be in spite of religion, not because of it.

It will take more than love, however. It will require people who believe the unity is more important than than the differences.
A generation will someday make that decision. Probably not in our lifetime.

There will always be ignorant people.

People are evolving beyond the need for religion. Spirituality and Science are converging to become the leading influence in peoples lives. We still need to go through some hard times to see that stubborn adherence to archaic supernatural forms of worship, which form the basis of the worlds religions, are not making the planet peaceful and more spiritually advanced.

Belief systems are one among many factors which cause separation of humanity. Belief systems include Atheism as well as religions.

As long as human beings are around (and before the return of Christ), there will be different belief systems.

Kindness, courtesy and a commitment to treating each other with respect can overcome differences in viewpoint (at least as far as we treat one another).

Cordially,
John

Nah The only thing that unites mankind is God's Word the Bible, and unless people adhere to that strictly, then there is no unity because instead of following God's Word they will be following their own heart and inclinations which will not bring unity as it divides only God's word of truth unites and ignorance to God's Word brings disunity!Follow your heart they say yet God's Word says:"The Heart is more treacherous than anything else..."(Jeremiah17:9) so who do you believe, well I know who I believe, God in his Word the Bible, because mans heart is what has been the disunity in this world

Only if we can totally wipe out the young religions (less than 3000 years old). Yes dear, only the Old Time Spirituality can save the World!

There will come a time when all people will come together in harmony, under the leadership of one man. He will promise peace and prosperity, but it will only lead to suffering. When all the christians have dissapeared, this man will take charge and will rule, but only for 7 years.
