"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."

It proves that if Clinton (whose quote this is) had actually done his job as President, we wouldn't have the issues we have now. He stood by and let this happen. And yes, he did have WMD. His translated Presidential Office tapes have revealed this:

Iraq's arsenal of weapons of mass destruction was not captured by US forces who heroically brought down Saddam Hussein's regime three years ago this week. It vanished before they arrived.
Israeli intelligence reported before the US-led invasion that starting in late summer 2002 Saddam's WMD arsenal was shipped by truck convoy to Syria. Recently, documents seized from Iraq after the fall of the regime were released to the public. Those documents revealed that under the direct command of former Russian prime minister and KGB boss Yevgeny Primakov, Russian Spetnaz forces oversaw the transfer of Iraq's WMD to Syria ahead of the US-led invasion. These reports have been corroborated by Saddam's Air Vice Marshall General Georges Sada.

So rather than being destroyed or secured, Saddam's WMD arsenal was simply moved from one rogue regime with intimate ties to terror organizations to another rogue regime with intimate ties to terror organizations.

Of course, American Media will NOT report this, it will prove Bush right, and then they would look stupid.

In the big scheme of things, Saddam Hussein was himself a Weapon of Mass Destruction. He had them at one time, and used them on his own people. What happened to him was his own fault.
And lets give some credit to the governments of the coalition forces that went into Iraq with us. Did they blindly follow the proclamations of the Bush administration? Surely they were smart enough to look at their own intelligence information and make the decision that Hussein actually did have WMD's. Or should we call the governments of Great Britain, Japan, Germany, Italy, and countless others a bunch of stupid arses. Their intelligence must have backed up their beliefs that Hussein had them. Do you really believe that we would put our own citizens in harms way like that for no good reason? I seriously doubt it. Should we assume that the leaders of most of the other countries of the free world are sheep that would do anything that an American president says? I doubt it.

I like it..

That will teach Saddam to lie about the WMD program he didn't have.

Now let me ask YOU a question... Suppose a Hooded MAN walked into a bank and said "I have a BOMB in this bag, and A 45 automatic in my pocket... give me all your money..."

And the police showed up and shot him dead. And upon examination there was POPCORN in the bag, and water pistol in his pocket. Do you think the POLICE acted CORRECTLY?

Of course they did. Saddam was rattling his Sabre, and moving things around... to be picked up by satellites and launching scud missiles. He rejected the UN's resolution that he agreed to... to further create the illusion. He thought he could SCARE US.

We called his bluff and now he's going to jail for 300 years or being put to death or both!

You don't remember any of this do you?

That would mean Saddam accepted peace by allowing the UN monitors to determine tht there were no WMD and then went in and killed tens of thousands of innocent people for a lie.

Sounds like a Bushism. He was famous for them. How much of the WMD's have been used for car bombs?
