Just because she's separated, doesn't mean her husband has to pay child support. She has to file through the court for child support and separation or divorce. Morally, he is liable to pay, but if he's a jerk, she will have to wait for a COURT ORDER. Then if he doesn't pay, he's in contempt of court and could go to jail.
She needs to be careful during this period of time when there are no court papers filed. He could legally take the kids and have them live with him, and file for child support from your sister. Anything goes if no papers are filed. If he has visitation, there's no guarantee he will bring the kids back to her. Good Luck!.....)(

Look in the phone book under Legal Aid Society. Or go to the Domestic Relations office near the closest courthouse. Parents have to support their children. If they don't, they need to be sued.

Your sister should take that butt to court, she did not have them children by herself. This separation do not have anything to do with the kids, he is acting like he a teen age father, whom feel if she don't want me I'll get her through the children. What a ******. I wish your sister the best but she should seriously take his butt to court.

She needs to take him to family court and the judge will order child support. I would suggest she get a divorce too. He may even have to pay spousal support. If he doesn't pay, he will go to jail.
