Have you ever seen a picture of God or His likeness? You see Jesus but not God, His Father.

Jesus is God in human form. You can pray to any one of them because Jesus is God and God is Jesus. It might seem weird thinking about Jesus being the son, but he is the son and he is the father. It's confusing but it dont matter. But Jesus was crusified. They cant crusify (if you call him) God.
And no one knows what God looks like but god himself.

I have never seen a picture that resembles the way the Bible describes Jesus. No one knows what God looks like. Imagination sets in. I pray to the trinity. God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit are one.
Jesus said to pray as to 'our Father who is in Heaven...'.
Judgment call, either way is correct.

Do you believe what you say in your question? Really and truly believe it and it is your life and not just a way of life for you?

If so, in my opinion you should listen to the words of Jesus. I understand it as Jesus said to talk to the father in prayer. Of course I may be wrong but I can not find a single instruction in the words of the Bible that say pray to Jesus or to pray to any other than the Father. It is true many religious organizations, teachers, etc., say its OK to pray to Jesus but what is their authority to say that. Is it just an idea they have that is not supported? Is it just a doctrine to lead you down the wrong road? Where did it come from anyway?

I pray to my God, however I do talk to Jesus in general conversation. I also do remind myself that because Jesus is the justification I can now talk directly to the Father. Thus I do add the words in my prayers "In the name of Jesus" to remind me personally of Jesus and what He did.

You just think about it and best talk to your Father and God in regards to this issue. He can clear it up for you.

I won't comment on the picture issue because no matter what is said, foolish people will still do foolish things and convince themselves it is not foolish.

I think if you could contact me via the internet I could pass along a picture of the Trinity to you...there you will see not just God the Father & God the Son, but God the Holy Spirit.

One of the biggest situations that people have with thier prayer life is getting past the images that will come to mind when you ponder God the Father.

When I began that journey, it was no God I came to see but my own earthly father whose image came to mind. Further images were the many priest's I know, whose title is father. Yes it takes a great deal of time to envision "God the Father", in who's image we were all created.

Pictures, paintings, Icons even stained glass windows will aid you in clearing your path of prayer to God the Father.

Good luck on your spiritual prayer journey to know God the Father, and perhaps it might help you to know that even I, a Bishop struggle still, but not maybe as much as you are focusing in on the target. But be very asure that as time goes on, if you remain commited, God the Father will reveal himself to you...and what a moment that will be.

Blessings

Bp. David

Jesus was crucified. I pray to God. God's likeness is usually portrayed through the rays of the sun (that's my interpretation anyway). but I've never seen a "human" likeness of God.

Both.
To answer your second question, No I have never seen a picture of God. Have you??? Even if somebody did try to paint a picture of God it would be all wrong. We can't even depict Jesus and he was in the human form, I've seen pictures of Jesus with fair skin, sandy brown hair, and blue eyes.
God has no flesh, just like you will someday your flesh will rot away. As far as seeing pictures in his likeness, well I'm reminded of God when I see beautiful pictures of mountains, oceans, sunsets, and when I look into the sky and try to comprhend how big the universe is.

Where do you see a picture of Jesus. The picture of the white guy with long flowing hair is not Jesus. The catholic church or some others would love you to believe that is him, it is not neither is the statues you see. No one knows what he looks like, nor does it matter. When I pray I pray to both and I pray asking Jesus to intercede on my behalf, like he said in the New Testament.

Isaiah 53:2) ".....He hath no form nor comeliness, and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3) He is despised and rejected of men a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and he hid as it were our faces from him, he was despised and we esteemed him not.

Jesus was crucified and then rose again.

Jesus told us to pray to God, but to do so in his (Jesus's) name. So, many Christians begin their prayer with "Dear God," and then end their prayer by saying "In Your Son's Name, Amen."

I have seen plenty of pictures of what people think God might look like, but no one living really knows what God looks like. One reason we tend to see more pictures of Jesus because we know generally what he looked like (like us! -- he was human while he was here).
