We breed english bulldogs. Both times we bred them, she had 8 puppies. They are soooo cute!!! GOOD LUCK!!! Make sure you have a planned c-section and are ready to be up every 2 hours. NEVER leave the pups with mom. She will smother them by accident. You need to keep the in a basket with blankets or towels and wrap a heating pad in the towel. Never lay a puppy directly on the heating pad, they will get burned. You should do that until they are 4 weeks old and strong enough to get out from underneath the mom.

The amount of pups and breed dog has depends on the history of the parent's etc. You can never be sure as to how many pups will be conceived.

They can have like 3 and the problem with them is you have to artificially inseminate the females. The males can't mount properly to get the deed done and almost all females have to give birth via c-section.
