After a month of not having Lice. It shows up in our hair. Should we continue to put the Rid stuff in our hair..or what? (we've also done the home remedies.) My family has been having lice problems for about a year now.

It sucks! :(

Yeah we washed all of our sheets. We took all of the stuffed animals and put them in a bag for 2 weeks like we were told to do.

Try consulting your doctor again, ask what you can do.

If all else fails... men in your house should just go bald and women should wash their hair every other day to keep it away from being dirty, but also away from being TOO clean.

I think you should still use the RID stuff because it will get rid of it the best because i know, our family had lice last Christmas and we followed the instructions to. Did you wash all of your sheets and take away stuffed animals and put them in a bag? Did you vacuum a lot more?! These little things improve it,so you won't get lice or have it come back. Also, did you do the next wash 2 weeks after the first wash?
Hope i Helped-
Todd

Sorry to say, but lice are becoming more and more resistant to treatments. I'd talk to your family Dr. Somehow you are either getting reinfested or you just aren't getting completely rid of them in the first place. Keep track of who your family is around and have them get checked for lice. You could just be passing it back and forth. Double check that you are following all the instructions to get rid of lice.

Against popular belief-having lice DOES NOT mean you are not clean enough. In truth lice prefer clean hair. Stylists can't help treat you in any way and cannot cut hair that is infected with lice so cutting the hair isn't an option. Talk to a pharmasist or a DR. and proceed from there GOOD LUCK

BETWEEN MY SISTER AND I PLUS OUR KIDS THERE ARE 7 FEMALES ALL WITH LONG THICK HAIR AND NONE OF THAT STUFF EVER WORKS ON US. THE BEST THING TO DO IS STAY IN THE HAIR. YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT ALL THE TIME AND TAKE ALL THE EGGS AND BUGS OUT ON YOUR OWN ,BY HAND. I KNOW ITS ALOT OF WORK BUT IT MUST BE DONE. AFTER ALL THE HAIR IS COMPLETELY DONE WASH ALL THE BEDDING AND TOYS, CLEAN THE CARPET AND KEEP ALL THE HAIR UP TIGHT OR CUT SHORT. I EVEN TEND TO USE HAIR GREASE BEFORE I PUT IT UP BECAUSE THE BUGS HAVE TO STICK TO HAIR TO LAY EGGS AND IF ITS GREASY THEN THEY CANT STICK

shave your heads and start all over and move out of your house for a day and bomb it with those lice/flee killers that you set off in your house. Wash everything in hot hot water
