yea its the 15 yr old again well heres my story... i used to be semi fit i used to excercise and play football almost everyday. Then i stopped workin out and everythin wernt downhill from there. 2 weeks ago i started to workout again and i stopped becuz i just have nothin to motivate me. I REALLY want to get back in shape but i just cant. My determination for wantin to be fit can only last for so long (in my case about a week and a half) so my question is What motivates u to work out? and Wat is a good diet that help u lose weight and gain muscle?

o and another question. Wat excersise targets like ur lower abs? cuz no matter how many situps or crunches i do i always feel a real burn in my upper abs.

Thanks

another question:

Take a broom stick and sit on end of bench, lean back to about a 45 degree angle and twist side to side. You will point end of stick to ceiling. Always be looking at ceiling while doing this. Your abs will tell you when to stop. When they do stand up and bend at fortyfive look at floor and twist pointing the end of stick to ceiling. 2 weeks and abs will be cooked to school girls delite!

I think you should buy some gym clothes and save your money to go to a gym if that's what's most important to you. Secure Horizons health insurance covers gym membership for people on Medicare and Medicaid. Otherwise, you might be paying $99 a month. When you sign up tell the "fitness expert" you want to target your lower abs and the person should be able to help you just fine. Oh, and if you don't have the all the money for a gym membership ask if you can make smaller payments. It feels better when you look your best that's why I recommended buying gym clothes (you can find them at most department stores in the
area where they sell fitness clothes) and that should get you more motivated.

Okay, a good exercise for your lower abs is to lie flat on the floor with your arms straight flat on the floor above your head and then you use your lower stomach muscles to pull your legs up vertically together. You can go to Sparkpeople.com and find all sorts of exercises. Also since you want to build muscle (because it burns fat) and loose fat then you want to fill your dirt with protien and dairy. Milk is the most nutrietious food in the world...if you can't drink it drink soy milk. I lost 50 lbs in 5 weeks by cutting my calories to less than 1500 per day... And I mean really measuring the amount and only eating about 200 calories at a time over every two hours in the day. So, I know it can be done... you may even surprise us all and loose more than me. Please don't weigh yourself until you get home from school on the first day...anytime before then could make you feel depressed about it not being what you want and then you rob yourself of success. Best wishes

Motovation is tough probably for most people who want to exercise, myself included. My exercise regime goes for a few days every other week.

My motovation now is that if I keep myself in shape I can do more and be there for my family when they need me. Also seeing other people who are not in shape is mentally painful and I don't want to let myself get there. From time to time I do little things; I pick up my free weights, I do some isometerics, I try to get some walking in.

Diet - Maybe cut back on meats, include more vegetables and rice. Things that are easy for your body to digest. Throw some yogurts and a diet shake in once in a while maybe in place of a meal.

Lower abs - leg lifts and bicycles. Can be done while lying down or seated. Mix it up, have fun and good luck!

You have to find something fun to do that also keeps you in shape. It's the worst to have to drag your butt through a workout you find boring...My favourite workout is taking my dog for a run, if you don't have one - borrow one from someone who is too busy to exercise theirs properly. The exercise I find works best on your lower abs is to raise your legs parallel to the floor with a partner standing at your head facing your feet..when your legs reach 90 degrees your legs are pushed really hard towards the floor, your job is to make that happen as slowly as possible. You shouldn't be on a diet at 15, just avoid fast food and junk food like pop.

i also started working out at 15, I'm now 48. when people try to guess my age, they guess around 35. i still feel and function like 21. being fit is a lifetime decision. if you do it just to look good, you wont do it very long. if you do it to be healthy, you'll do it forever. after awhile, you will start to crave it when your not working out. its okay to "lay off" occasionally when you get tired but you have to remember that "life decision" to remain healthy. if you get bored working out, find you a buddy and join a gym to ease the boredom. you'll meet friends that have the same goals and you can keep each other going.

Nothin to it but to do it!! Get off the couch and get moving. Find a sport you like then excercise won't seem like work. Swimming is great and this is the time of year for it. Good luck!

What motivates me to be fit and workout? Try this on for size. Someday..someone will try to kill you. It might not be your fault and you might not even see it coming. .but it's very likely that it will happen. If it doesn't.. then you will probably be involved in an accident or incident that your physical ability will determine whether or not you will survive. That's what motivates me at least.
