I'm an atheist, but yes, I'd help ANYONE.

this is an incredibly difficult question. But I am going to tackle it. I follow a rather small combat based faith. (no im not a klingon lol)

It states the rules of what should be and what should not be faught over. The first example would be a street fight between two adults I do not know.

Dispite knowing that someone is going to be severely hurt and potentially killed, My faith dictates I am not allowed to interfer. The reasoning behind this is i do not know who the innocent party is, so i may inadvertantly help the offensive combatant.

Now even though I am capable of helping one of these combatants I choose not too. It is best to leave the answer up to the man up stairs (God)

Now there are situations in which I may fight strangers. First is an adult attacking a child. NO MATTER the situation, I am to act on this. It is the consistancy of a sin to walk away. There is no crime a child can commit that makes them worthy of death or a beating. (this is a real attack, not like spankings and garbage like that) In this situation, my faith in fact orders me to attack the adult.

After spelling this all out, my answer to your question is no. I will not help another in trouble if my faith dictates I should not interfer.

If your asking questions like this I would suggest researching your religion and/or faith in detail to see what your faith has to say about the actions you can and can not dictate.

In situation one I can not enter as a combatant, but that does not stop me from asking someone who can stop them from fighting. (The police.)

If I know my friend is innocent of whichever crime invoked the attack, then I may participate in the fight. If I know they are guilty, my faith dictates that I must not participate in the fight. (again, does not stop me from calling the cops.)

Look for an out if your in a situation where you must choose a friend or your faith. Often there is a person in our life who is allowed to interfer where we are not to meddle. I often choose my best friend Mike. He is more then willing to interfer with things I can not.

i hope i helped in some way, this question is very difficult to go over. I wish you and your friends free of harm,
Silence

A lot of religions have regulations as to who, what, when, where, and how they can help - that's the joy of being a Christian, a Spirit and Truth Christian living by the New Testament of the King James Version of the Bible - the only guide that is perfectly clear as to who, what, when, where, and how I need to live.

It depends on the person who needs help and the kind of help needed. Eg if i was in germany during WW2 i would not help Hitler get away. I would not help a prisoner break prison etc.

There is NO religion that forbids you to help other people.
A real good Muslim would help even a pig in trouble. Or, at least they should if they really believe in God.

What religion doesn't allow you to help others? Mine's based on it.

I would always help people in need. My religion embraces that.

u are mis-interpreting religion.. no religion says not to not help people.. do what u think is rite, use religion as a way to guide you , not lead you... u be good to others, god will be good to you... if you think about it, we are all Adam's kids,,,,,

It depends on the problem. If it's morally wrong, no I would not help.
