Some times it can happen but not always a good thing who is to say you don't or won't have the urge to have sex with that ex.
Think and put your self in the situation would you want your other half to be friends with their ex!

If you broke up with some one then you broke up with them for a reason.... The reason will still be there if you choose to be friends. Also could you handle seeing your ex with another girl? Would you want to her about her.... friend share things with each other. I would have to say once you split move on... you got a new fresh start.

My first husband who I dovorced almost 8 years ago is my best friend in the whole wide world. I think that it works best if you are both single or if you are both married. Anything else in between leaves to much for interpretation. Good Luck!

My mom's good friend is her old old boyfriend from when she was my age and younger. I call him "Uncle Matt" because they stayed close friends. She almost married him, but broke up with him, and very shortly after met my dad. Now, Dad and he are super close friends. I've known Uncle Matt since before I was born practically.

ex's can never be friends... i've tried it several times and never works out cuz they get jealous of the new man and get pissed off bout it and try to ruin the relationship... i would not advise u to go thru the same thing.

any exes Ive remained friends with, were really "f" buddies. our underlying reasons we became exes were still there. but we knew each other sexually. its always good to have one in your pocket for a back up on those lonelier nights.

I don't think it's healthy.

I have a good relationship with my ex-wife...
but we always long for "the day"...

Plus there is always something SEXUAL happening in the back-ground.

I say... if you have the option... walk away
