when they are young, it is normal for them to tremble. It could be temperature (hot/cold), nerves, or physical. Between the ages of 1-8 (depending on the breed. some live longer than others) you should get it checked out if it is actually trembling not associated with fear or anxiety. After 8 years old, its probably arthritis or some sort of injury. you could TRY asprin but there is no for sure. Please note, sometimes, dogs appear to tremble when they are actually just panting heavily or breathing faster than normal. Again, temperature has a role in this. even if a dog is "used to the weather" they still have no way of cooling down except for breathing heavier. Also, some dogs are just born nervous. Its one of those things that good breeders try to avoid by not breeding those dogs that do tremble. However, some breeders only care for money and do not care about this condition.

I only tremble if I am very scared.. the vet visit or if I am really cold which isn't very often.. once I fell through some ice and I was real cold until my owner wrapped me in a big blanket and took out a hair dryer and dried me.

Most dogs tremble cause they have to have a bowel movement. Just like humans when you really have to go you get the shivers!!

during thunderstorms, their ears build up pressure and it hurts their heads when it thunders..sort of like a mini-migraine.
