As I was told by a vet when my two cats (brother and sister) were younger, get them "fixed" before she goes in heat because he won't care that she's his sister. I would also agree that the offspring could be malformed.

Can a female and a male human that were born together (twins or just siblings) mate? Yes. It's the same way with cats.

Should they? NO! Incest. It's not just morally wrong. It can cause major genetic defects. Incest is the cause of such things as deformed or missing limbs, brain disorders, mental retardation, and an increased chance of any disease or disorder that both male and female carry the genes for (even if they do not show signs of it).

Yes they can indeed. My farm cats did it all the time. It is called inbreeding. You have to be careful about it though. If inbreeding happens for too many years, your cat's offspring will gradually become weaker and with genetic mutations. It is often a good idea to introduce new genetics (new tom cat unrelated to your cats) into the systems to prevent these problems. The problems could include weakens immune systems and multiple toes.

Yes, as long as they haven't been spayed and neutered. Is it a good idea? Probably not. I'm assuming the same thing would happen to the kittens like if a human brother and sister had a babies...they would move down south, live in a trailer, their teeth would fall out, they would watch Jerry Springer, and collect welfare.

yes they can, but it isn't a good idea because they are both caring recessive genes that could make their kittens have genetic problems (i.e. stupidity). It is never a good idea to let any animals that are related mate. Cats, however, don't care if they are related or not, and will boink whatever comes along. I would get them both fixed and stop it from happening.

They will, but the babies will be deformed if the parents are siblings. It's called inbreeding and it is not a good thing.
DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE!!!
Spay and neuter them immediatly.
For every kitten you breed and find a home for, you are killing a kitten in a shelter, because that is one home that is no longer looking to adopt one.
If you can't afford it, call animal control or SPCA they have programs to help you.

They can mate it has been happening for lots of years. I would have them fixed that way there are no more unwanted cats brought into the world.

Yes, they are able to mate, but no, they should not because the kittens will be born deformed. Get them spayed and neutered,
