In the beginning, so we are told, here was only Adam and Eve and they had two sons. Whom did they then take to their bed to give rise to the rest of the human race? God forbid!

The bible states that God created man (humanity, all the races) on the 6th day. Male and female. He blessed them and told them to multiply and fill the earth. Then, on the 7th day, He rested. Later.... in what many Christians today call 8th day creation.... God planted a garden but, saw there was no man to till the earth so, He made Adam, the first farmer. God brought to Adam many animals and Adam named them. These were the domestic animals we use today on farms and as beasts of burden. Wild aimals had been previously created on day 5.

When Cain killed Abel, Cain went to the land of Nod were he took a wife. He married a female who was a 6th day creation human.

Later, Adam and Eve had many children. One child, Seth, was to be the ancestor of Noah, who was the ancestor of David. From this lineage came Mary, mother of God. The reason for the lineage breakdown (the begatting) is to let us all know Christ's (for want of a better word) pedigree.

One main problem with parents of close relations having children is the increased possibility of birth defects. This is because, over time, your DNA can get damaged by radiation, disease, pollution, drugs, etc. If two people who are not close relatives have children, any inherited deficiencies in the genes will probably be suppressed by a more dominant, un-damaged gene from the other parent.
But when close relatives have children, it is more likely that both parents will carry the same damaged gene. When these two damaged genes match up, there is no "good" gene to take the dominance, therefore, the defect surfaces as a birth defect.

In the age of Adam and Eve, and the next few generations, this would not have been a problem. They would have had a pure, undamaged gene pool. There would have been no genetic reason why close relatives would have had an increase in birth defects.

Also, at that time, God had not yet given a command against it, so it would not have violated God's law either. Later, the bible does record a law against close relatives having such relations.

Why does everybody think of Adam and Eve as a man and women of today, I know it's said we were created in God's image, but who said that it is the image we see now. Adam and Eve two little dots in a pond that creates life. God is not a human, God is everything, everywhere when life was created we came about from these little things getting together.
Don't listen or believe what you read in the bible, because the person who wrote it couldn't understand, so who ever it was made it so they could using what only they would have the knowledge to understand, like a lot of the things written in holy books, that's why so much was written so man could profit in the name of God
There's nothing to that Adam and Eve did not exist, and could well have been part of evolution.

The Story of Adam and Eve is one large metaphor. Not even in ancient times did everyone take the stories in the Torah so literally. There is no inherent conflict between evolution and the Bible. Remember how the Catholic Church thought the earth was flat and imprisoned people who theorized differently? How did they get such an idea? Because the bible states in many places that the earth had four corners. This could have been simply an expression of speech. Remember Jesus saying if they tore down the temple he would rebuild it in three days? In this instance the Bible tells you he meant his body. Does everyone need to be spoon feed to avoid misinterpreting the obvious? No, God wants us to use our brains. There is little spiritual growth without any struggle to find the truth. Seek and ye shall find.

Adam and Eve created more children ie both girls and boys. When they had grown up they married or better had sex between them and multiplied.Marriage became an instituition only in 8 or 9 th century. In the beginning when population was thin sex between close relatives was un avoidable.Marriage outside relations became only very late.In the case of Tribals in Africa, still marriage between /sex between members of same family is prevalent. There are cases when son kills father and marries mother!God had not forbidden such things, more or less advanced culture and civilization made these rules.
In fact marriage was an institution started to safeguard the interest of women to take care of her needs and prevent sexual harrassment from many.It also made pregnancy safe so that offspring is safe.As pregnancy can now be prevented, sex can be enjoyed wit out the fear of pregnancy, multiple sex, divorce are increasing and the institution of marriage is on the verge of collapse.

Well if you take a really close look at Genisis you will see that Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden then when they got kicked out for some fun you will continue to read where it says that they went from "Paradise" to join the rest of the world which kinda makes you think their might have been other people in the world at that time that no one really wants to focus on. If I hadnt burnt every bible that was in this house I could tell you where to look but you can find it for yourself.

Obviously their sisters. The Bible never says Adam and Eve had "only" two sons, they surely had many other children, girls as well as boys. And there would not have been as much mutation in genes yet so there would not have been a problem for the brother to marry the sister.

The question was good if you have asked with sincerity. During those days, there were no word like incest came into being. To multiply wa God's blessing. Hence they were not sinning but obeying God's law. When years go by...God made a law of incest. because by that time there were many people in this world. For the first time it was necessary.

A minute ago another person who was not familiar with one of the oldest book in history the bible, asked the same question. I would answer your question, however I am going to give you a summer assignment. Please read from Genesis 1 to Genesis 5. You can get a bible at Walmart for $5.00. Homosexuality which you are insinuating is an abomination, it is also in the $5 bible. Read and then return with more intelligible questions.
