I am, in fact coffee is to me like gas is to a car, if I don't drink coffee in the morning I just don't wake up and I can't function like a normal person.

You're really addicted to the caffeine in coffee. Just like people drink many cans of soda each day. They are addicted to the caffeine as well. If you drink 3 cups or fewer, you are okay. Research periodically comes up with the fact that coffee is good for you. So don't fret unless it is interfering with your life (like you can't do anything without a cup of coffee in your hand).

I don't know if you can actually be addicted to coffee. If so I sure am. But I believe it is all the caffeine in it that makes us feel addicted. I just love the taste and the smell of fresh ground coffee. My husband and I drink about three pots a day.

Yes addicted to coffee. Was addicted to caffine, but found it i didn't have so much i'd get headaches and so i've backed off a bit...now i only have coffee four days a week. Totally addicted though...self control helps. Trader Joe's organic Ethiopian coffe is the BEST!!!!

I'm not addicted to coffee. I only drink it for taste. Coffee doesn't keep me awake; therefore, I drink it anytime during the day and still go to sleep. However, I only drink it once in a couple months. Well, none right now, because I'm pregnant.

In my past I was addicted to coffee. To free myself from the addiction I started making ginger tea, made from fresh ginger root grated. First boil the water. Then add the ginger, simmering for 20 minutes. You can drink it as is or add honey, apple juice, cayenne, hot sauce, or other herbs steamed with it. The tea helped to flush out the toxins, while helping to make me feel better. It is very nurturing.
