We are both 27, and she said she wanted to be 'friends' only now, but its awkward since we work together. We've been apart for a few months and recently shes been wanting to stay over and spend time together so I gave her a chance, but everytime we start getting intimate she says 'we shouldn't be doing this'. I'm already over her, and I think shes playing with my heart and didn't appreciate me until now since I'm not a part of her life anymore but she wants all the benefits. I don't even pick up her calls and now she wants to make time for me all of a sudden. She even came to my house without even telling me when I finish work at 2am,if I avoid her will she give up, or even want me more? how long will it take? I treated her so good before, and I think she remembers that, but I keep telling her I'm busy so she won't come over anymore.I have to maintain good relations with her only for work purposes. Please help, what do I do, and what is going to happen?

You should ignore her and change the knob on your door if she has a spare key or even change your number. If you're not at all into her anymore then you should just stop talking to her or being nice to her becuase thats gonna make her come back for more the more you treat her as if she doesnt exist the more youll push her away. same at your workplace only talk to her about work stuff nothing else just so she wont get her hopes up. dont change your job becuase of her who is she for you to do that right? you should try doing this for a couple of weeks im preety sure shell get the idea and move on.

you just need to tell her that your over her and are dating other people, that might make her realize that its over and she cant just walk back into your life when its convienent for her. OR you can keep avoiding her. Dont pick up her calls, dont invite her over...let her get the point, that you have moved on, and if she has any dignity left she'll see that shes looking way too desperate and stop bothering you.
Oh, back to the first idea, let her see you with another girl on a lunch date or something like that ..that will get the point across.
Good for you for not taking her back, people like that dont realize how good they had it until its gone, she does not deserve you!!
good luck

Be frank with her... tell her you've moved on and the chance she was given has passed on. I'm guessing she's confused about her emotions. She probably moved on too, or atleast wants to. She hasn't found someone to occupy her time, so she is trying to use you for that. She knows you'll be around, and that is partly your fault. You keep letting her believe that she can come back at any time. Stepping around and trying to use suttle gestures to tell her that you aren't interested anymore DON'T WORK. You just have to get out there and tell it like it is.

My ex did the same thing after we broke up. She went out and got into another realtionship anly the guy didn't treat her right. Then she came back and now she left again.

I think she's doing it to see if she can get you back. I am taking a job on the other side of the country so she can't try and mess with me again.

She is not ready for a relationship and confused about what she wants.

Running away from a problem is not nearly as productive as facing it. Tell her: "We're over. I'm over you and I don't understand why you keep pushing to spend time with me -- clearly, we can't really 'stay friends.' I don't want us to be awkard at work... but outside of the building, we're ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend, and that's it."

Well, it will be awkward unless 2 things happen. 1. you sit down and talk to her about all of the things you are thinking. or 2. either you or she quit your job.

Talk to her about it, be very honest, and hopefully she'll realize she's being kind of ridiculous. Otherwise, you'll just have to be firm and slightly mean, and maybe she'll quit.
