I worked for an airline for many years and was able to fly First Class a lot. The food wasnt that bad, I agree. Wasn't Ruth's Chris either, but I was glad to accept it, heck I flew for free, so how could I complain?
As far as the quality of food served....it depends on the airline and class of service. For those that complain, look at the price you are paying for your ticket. You are lucky they still even have snacks as an option. Everyone wanting to pay dirt cheap prices you should feel thankful there is even pretzels on the plane when your $300 round trip trans continental air fare is barely paying for that plane to sit parked at the gate. If you want better food service, or even the option of food service, be willing to pay more for your ticket so that they can offer more choices again or better quality of food like they used to.
If you were on a $100 a week budget and had to feed a family of 6, would you be making steak every night or hamburger helper?? If you dont like the food, bring your own. The food has to be made in large quantities, set up and delivered right away. Whats the food like at a banquet where you pay $20 per person vs $100 per person???

I doubt it. i understand the airline I artwork for has its own cabin provider branch that makes all the nutrients. anybody that makes it probably in uncomplicated phrases distributes to airways. Get a job there. I believe you, i have had some respectable airplane nutrients, fantastically on global flights.

Depends on what airlines you are travelling with, and if they give
you a selection of what you want to eat. But most airlines serve very bland food, with no taste and usually very cardboard tasting. Best to eat before you get on a flight

Because, all in all, it just sucks! They are getting a little bit better with the food options, but, really, there aren't many actual meals on planes unless you pay extra for it.

They don't even give you food anymore, just snacks that make you thirsty.
