How long your body lives is mostly lifestyle. Now let me ask you a question. Animals die but they do not wonder about it. So why do you wonder about it. It is because the animal is his body but you are not your body.

That is why you wonder about it. See site below to learn more about yourself and why death is not something that you need to fear, but have respect for. Contains some info from top psychologists in country.

Much like the question: Is life sexually transmited. However this question would entangle into a divine source, and that would be to ask when Greek gods such as Permisius ruled the world and heavens, if they passed down immortality. The story of Hercules is that he became human and thus died. His death was not hereditary and from this we can see he would have only been immortal if nothing earthy had tainted him. Seeing as how we are all earthly beings, death is not hereditary but rather inevitable.

I was originally going to say, "No, but the CAUSE of death is" (like heart attacks can run in your family, or cancer, for example) but then I gave it a little more thought and the answer actually is, "YES" death is hereditary. We inherited it from Adam & Eve when they ate the forbidden fruit and were cast out of the Garden of Eden. If you read God's words to them, we inherited death for their sin. So, the answer is a big YES.

Death is a process inherent in all living things. It is normal and natural and all are subject to it. It is not hereditary, although longevity can be.

As sure as we are born, we must all die. There is nothing hereditary about that other than, through Adam and Eve and the result of their act against God, they "passed" death to men. Additionally, there are diseases and family issues that unfortunately, can pre-determine one's health (if you let it) and untreated can cause early death.

Death is an inevitable part of life. "To be born is to begin to die." Certain CAUSES of death, of course, can be considered hereditary.

Death isn't a matter of heredity, it is an earthly trait. Each bit of living matter on this spinning rock will eventually die and be replaced by others of its species until they become extinct. I guess even viruses die or perhaps they mutate. Of course, I like to think death is really just a matter of energy changing form just like water can change to steam or ice and maybe, sorta like a virus, we go on in some other form entirely.

If your ancestors are not immortal and died, then chances are you will someday as well. I say yes, death is hereditary.

Absolutely -- death is hereditary. A person only dies if their parents or ancestors have died. People who's ancestors have not died also do not die.
