I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

By eating more fruits and vegetables, you will fill up on low calorie food. Drink lots of water too.
Then you need to exercise more than you do now. Do stomach crunches and leg lifts (lie on the floor on your back & raise your legs together). That improves your stomach muscles. Then even without losing pounds, you look trimmer.
Losing 3 pounds a week is reasonable. Can your Mom help you with it? Most adult women know quite a bit about dieting even though they don't always apply it for themselves.

It is mostly NOT your fault, that you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) soon surpassing hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic).

You need to re-learn how to eat. Learn everything on site below so you can understand how food and exercise affects your body. Do this and you can be thin. Do this not, and you will remain part of the biggest pandemic in all of history. Due to this pandemic, for the first time in 100 years, the children of Americans have a lower life expectancy than their parents.

Why at 15 are you worrying about 15 pounds? There is far too much emphasis on being skinny to the point of unhealthy attitudes about body types, that drives people younger and younger to seek ways to loose weight. Your body is still changing, and to subject yourself to dieting or overexercise is bad for you. The best advice is for you to stop eating any junk food, including drinking soda, as one can contains 16 to 21 teaspoons of sugar. Eat healthy and go for walks for a few hours a day, and you will see a change for the better.

okay calm down this is actually perfect

say that on average with moderate activity you would burn about 2,000 calories per day that means that in order to lose weight you need to consume less than that.... i am 15 too and i tried this and it was amazing

i limited myself to 1000 calories of consumption per day and wrote down everything that i ate and made sure i didnt go over... by doing this you also end up eating less than your limit becuase you dont want to see it on paper...

anyways i limited myself to 250 cal per meal so i got up and had 2 pc toast and 1/2 cup milk then 4 lunch 1 cup tomato soup and some cheese then @ about 3 or 4 a smoothe and at about 6 or 7 a small peice of meat w/ a little bit of veggies and half cup of milk

i also madde sure that i went to the gym ever day and burned 200 cal minimum

if you need more info on which foods contain how many calories go here: www.nutritiondata.com

in addition to the other posters, don't eat any white bread, white rice, pasta, white potatoes, sugar (so no desserts, soft drinks, etc). Veggies and fresh fruits and a balanced meal (smaller portions - more fresh fish[not fried], lean chicken[not fried - baked is best- skinless and fat removed] If you have to have meat, portion control (not bigger than the palm of your hand) Hamburgers: 95% fat free - skip the bread, just have the trimmngs.

Of the veggies avoid for a while the ones with high sugar content: corn, snap peas, sweet peas, carrots. ALL greens are good - fresh if possible if not frozen (healthier for you than canned). IF you can eat veggies without butter, do so (has lots of fat).

Milk (important for ALL women - no matter if teens or 100) - have at least 8 ozs of non-fat (I know it might taste like water, but it will grow on you :))

Cereals: avoid any of the cereals with sugar (the good stuff). If you like cereals for breakfast, have Cheerios (original). NO cornflakes.

Bottomline: smaller portions, fat free as much as possible, high in fiber, no 'white' based starches.

Exercise - swim laps or walk for an hour. If you don't normally exercise, don't abuse yourself-start slow or go to the local gym and use the machines. PACE yourself - avoid injuries.

Eat last meal by 6 p.m. at night or at least 3/4 hrs BEFORE going to bed.

When watching TV or talking on phone or emailing - exercise. Weight training is good for muscle tone and burning calories.

Drink water - don't dehydrate and it will also help you get rid of toxins etc. Don't overdo the water - no more than 8 glasses of 8oz each.

If you don't care for plain water, add fresh lemon or get carbonated flavored (but without sugar)

Snacks: fat free cheese sticks; celery (not carrots) sticks; NO chips or JUNK food.....sugar free jello (when making it just as it starts to gel, add some fruit) -- they sell it already made in the store - more expensive than making it, but less temptation for you than being in the kitchen

If you can HIDE or give away ALL stuff that will tempt you to break your diet in next 15 days - popcorn, ice cream, chips, pizza (NO PIZZA)...etc. You know what things :)

DON'T weigh yourself EVERY SINGLE day you will only feel disappointed. Morning you start diet: weigh yourself (no shoes and whatever you are wearing remember, because on your 15th day you want to be wearing the same - using the same weighing machine) AND don't weigh yourself again until the date you decide is your target date ---- if you weigh yourself every day you will be disappointed with the results at first and you will get yourself off the diet.

NO fast food. Watch those salad dressings - they are loaded with oil, etc. Use lemon juice and other a LITTLE olive oil for your dressing, if you must...NO others will work.

Get used to looking at everything you eat.

Ask your loved ones (friends, family) to help you in this quest.
Good luck

The only proven way to lose weight (healthily) is to engage in exercise and reduce your caloric intake. Therefore, combination of aerobic and resistance training exercises plus a modified diet in smaller portions.

If in doubt of how to begin an exercise program, you may wish to seek the professional help of a personal trainer. Make sure they possess recognised certifications (and must be up to date).

Last but not least, it is my sincere advise as a personal trainer to emphasize the importance of losing weight in a healthy manner instead of resorting to unknown gimmicks and starvation. Exercise plus a healthy modifed diet is the only way to ensure weight loss.

The first thing you should do is consult your doctor. Remember that their are no easy short cuts to losing weight safely. Good Luck. Nothing can replace eating right and proper excesses.

Music making you eat more. According to research by the journal Psychology and also Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage you to take time over your food, so you consume more foods. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re investing in your mouth.

Invest in smaller plates. Little crockery means portion control is really a lot easier – those diminutive portions suddenly look huge and you’ll be happier to eat less.
