They have taught him to be aggressive. You may have a problem at some point with him biting someone and may get sued over it. It may even kill someone. I would keep it seperated when people are at your home and not take it out in punlic. I hope you have a fenced yard. Also of people throw rocks at him, one day they could throw poison.

Labs usually aren't an agressive breed. Put up a privacy fence to protect your dog or be present when your dog is outside. Telling the kids parents is just going to add fuel the fire. Take some action as his parent. Don't let your pet be abused by someone.
As for Bonsylar response you must not have ever heard of Ceasar Milan.

Yeah I'd be plenty pissed too, throw rocks at me.
Get a better fence.
Tell folks not to throw rocks
Call the police.
Give the dog away
If you resolve the rock problem, then see if he can be rehabilitated by getting him training. You will need professional help. He has been horribly abused, and will need help trusting people again. That includes you because he looks to you as his pack leader to protect him and you aren't.
Poor dog, he probably can't be helped.

Better take care of the rock thing because I to had a black lab and he turned mean and bit people on ten speeds because they kicked him as they rode by. The aggressive part is an obedience thing and need schooling.

Responsible ownership dictates that he should not be allowed in the alley or anywhere out side of your property unless a human is with him. I would get aggressive too if people threw rocks at me.

Keep him out of that rock throwing situation and then retrain him to be social. If you do not know how to safely do this, consult a professional dog trainer.

A rifle ought to stop the rock throwing. Of course I'm not advocating violence. Call the cops and have the punk trash arrested.

Your dog needs you to protect him. Allowing him to be in a situation where he keeps getting abused is just as bad as abusing him yourself. Keep him inside or stay with him when he is out.

I would call the police if you know who is throwing the rocks. It is a crime to abuse animals. If it is kids doing it, their parents need to know what is going on. There is no excuse for that happening. As for the aggression, he will continue to be aggressive if he does not feel safe and it is up to you to change that.

Yes, things like that would turn a dog agressive to people, now it's up to you to re-socialize him in better situations so that he can, hopefully, stop.
