I am wondering when I have to worry about my stored bottles of wine. Sometimes in the summer time, my house can get pretty hot when I am gone to work, and want to know when I have to worry about my wine collection.

Wine is best stored at 50 -60 degrees. The higher you get above that, the more quickly the wine will degrade. A week at 80 and it will be garbage. Better wines ruin more quickly than cheap wines.

The most important factor is really having a consistant temperature. The ideal temperature is 58 F. However, consistant 80 F is better than several cycles of warming and cooling over time.
