I was in my mid 20's when Jesus delivered me from a life of drugs, booze, cigs, etc.
A christian man asked if he could pray for me, and when he did, within minutes, I was a totally changed person because God answered that man's prayers. The Lord totally delivered me from those drugs, booze, cigarettes, etc, along with the desire and their affects. Of course, I DID have to say "Yes" to the Lord, but He did all the rest.

I was "saved" when I was in my mother's womb. I grew up in a church family. I was baptized at my volition when I was 13. I thought I was doing it to show everyone that I wanted Jesus to come into my heart and all of that. Truth is that I was raised to be a believer. Maybe this saved and born again stuff for church kids should be treated more like a bar mitzvah. You reach a certain age and you have a party showing that you are entering the age of responsibility for your own actions.
Those who weren't raised in a Christian home or came to find faith later in life will give you a great story about how they found that faith.

I guess it depends on what you mean by the term "saved." I can't point to an exact day and hour when I got "saved"...but I can tell you that I became aware of my deep commitment to Jesus Christ around the age of twelve. And it's been a great relationship ever since!

Never been saved or born again, I still think I am a Christian. I wish more people would live their lives with the patience and understanding that I do. They would be more welcoming of different people and also would understand what religion is all about.
