Scientific Error in Bible. Do chrisitans still believe on it? be serious about your faith.?

Question

Leviticus, Ch. No.12 Verse No.1 to 5, says that… ‘After a woman gives birth to a male child, she will be unclean for 7 days, and the period of uncleanliness will continue for 33 days more. It she give birth to a female child, she will be unclean for two weeks, and the period of uncleanliness will continue for 66 days. In short, if a woman gives birth to a male child… ‘a son’, she is unclean for 40 days. If she gives birth to a female child… ‘a daughter’, she is unclean for 80 days. I would like Dr. William Campbell to explain to me scientifically, how come a woman remains unclean for double the period, if she gives birth to a female child, as compared to a male child.

AL QURAN only book of GOD, The book of GOD cannot have any errors. Al Quran is superior then science. e.g Science came to know about sun recently that it is not stationary, and in Al Quran it was mentioned 14 hundred years back that it is floating in its own orbit.

Where is the "scientific proof" that you state you have? This just says that the birth of boys and girls should be handled differently.

Medically, I'm positive there's an answer, I would be very interested in hearing it.
Since God gave then the law, I'm sure it has a medical reason, not a social one. Medical science is constantly uncovering "new" medical principles that God already spoke.
The clean vs. unclean meant the husband was not to touch her intimately during those days.
An educated guess from me would say the differences in the hormones affected by the sex of the child, I bounced back much quicker with my son. When I had my daughter, whoa! deep post-natal depression.
So, I could understand why God would command that. To protect the woman from the "icy" comments from the husband about her "lack of desire".

No matter what the reason, If God said it, then it was definitely healthier for all involved.

Al Quran?...Peace?...Uh, I don't think so.

It's not a scientific question nor direction. It actually had to do with the status & treastement of females in all ancient cultures. There was a risk that the female child would be killed because it wasn't male. Mainly because she was another mouth to fed that couldn't be used for working the family business, especially in agraiarian societies. This belief continues is some of the backwater agricultural societies around the world. In order to protect both mother & child they were isolated for a longer period of time to allow the father & the rest of the family (especially the in-laws) to come to terms with it. This is easily seen in the rest of the Bible where sons are listed by name and daughters are rarely even mentioned. And when they are they are mentioned as an afterthought. Note also that this is not an indictment of God but of man. God was merely protecting the women & girls involved.

good question! although i never heard of it before!
but i just wanted to clarify one part when u said that the Koran is the only book of god! you are wrong there.
I'm a muslim and i believe in all three books revealed by god! bible and torah. there might be some errors in the bible and also there may be some stuff that was added by the early church but it doesnt mean that it's entirely false!! the bible still has the words of god.
i also wanted to add to mr( plastik ) that he's wrong the koran is the perfect book its a miracle on its own. and it mentioned every thing that scientists are discovering today some 1400 years ago to a nation that knew nothing and lived in deserts.
so read the koran if you will and argue if you find any false statements. till you educate yourself we dont wanna hear your cheap talk.

a book was written about how the quran is self contradidting.
its a pretty long book about 300 pages
that is a lot of mistakes in the quaran
im sure that if a book can be written about it it is no accident
the quran contradicts history
WHY WOULD PEOPLE WANT TO BELIEVE THE QUARAN
jews christians and muslims believe in the same god
the bible has a few mistaks but not as many as the quaran

The Koran is *NOT* a scientific journal, nor is the NT, the OT, or BOM. Believing that any religious text is a science book is illogical, and quite frankly irrational. Further, trying to disprove another person's religion in favor of your own shows flaws in your character.

I understand what you are trying to do but this will only upset Christains. OUr faith gets attacked every day and it only upsets us and makes us angry.

I made these same mistakes at first out of frustration. But you are only stooping to there level and letting Shatan increase your anger and take you away from the the way of life the profit lived. If he could stand to have trash thrown on him and still act with patience, surely so can we ignore their attacks without stooping to their level. You can lie and throw trash on the sun but it will still shine brite. People in the US lie and throw their trash on Islam but still every day there are more and more AMERICANS coming to ISLAM. So don't worry you can not hide the truth in lies. Don't attack back take the high road. Allah(SWT) can protect Islam just fine you don't need to.

And as a Muslim we know that Allah (SWT) also sent the Torah and Bible. Though they have been corrupted through translation they are still his books. The same message has been sent since the beginning of time.

That is probably due to the fact that women were in a lower social standing then compared to today. A male child was considered more valuable as it was the heir, or continuation of, the family line.

What you think you know is incorrect. That subject is not a matter of concern to those of the Christian Faith. Those laws were for the Jews of those days. Christ fulfilled The Law. We, as Christians, are not bound by them today...

As to why it says what it says....Because God Said it. And that is what God intended for the law on that subject to be. For The Nation of Israel... God is God. And if God says it.... it is By God Right.
