while the bible does [rather ridiculously, of course] condemn gay sex in other places and ways, this should, logically, show those people who are so proud of the "adam and steve" quip how stupid they are.
and fr_chuck, your constant discussion of a "cure" for gay people is terribly offensive. perhaps i might redirect your medical zeal to something more personally important to you: obesity, or male pattern baldness, maybe?
edit, to mickey:
maybe jesus was queer as well as single. don't just assume.

I believe God condemned homosexuality...along with all other forms of sexual immorality. It has nothing to do with creating Adam and Eve, except for the fact that it does say that God created Eve for Adam...other wise, how could they reproduce?
Being single is not an abomination to God.

Yes, God created Adam and Eve. No, that does not mean that being single is an abomination to God.
At least as much as I can figure out, we're all pretty much born "single" -- I've never met anyone who popped out married already...
What does this have to do with homosexuality?

first of all, it's pathedic how much supporters of "homosexuality" grasp at straws, trying to make up "excuses" as to why it should be considered right...
now, to answer your question: No. It doesn't mean being single is an abomination...
Read Matthew 19:11, 12
"11Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage[a]because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Matthew 19:11,12 (NIV)
or 1 Corinthians 7:1 (which "literally" spells it out for you...)
"Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry." 1 Corinthians 7:1
So while marriage is condoned (between heterosexuals); being single is perfectly fine also (As long as the single person is not driven by lust, etc. for another person...)
Now, will you please give this whole "homosexual" junk a rest?
Homosexuals are no different than the rest of us sinners, but just like God doesn't condone us lyng, gossiping, murdering, stealing, committing adultery, etc....He also does NOT condone people acting on homosexual urges (lust.)
do you understand? (It has nothing to do with hate/prejudice.)

Jesus was single, while he lived his 33 years here on earth.
HE certainly was no abomination to his Father. The Bible is clear when it says, HE created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve! Though he loves homosexuals, divorced, murders and such. The choices are our own to make, however, HE gives us a brain to make wise choices. If in doubt, just ask HIM, HE is only ever a prayer away. BELIEVE!!! Ask and you shall receive.

Eve was created as a companion, not to make being single an abomination. Where do you draw your conclusions from the land of make belief, because I never read this in the bible. Homosexuality is an abomination to God, it is in numerous books of the bible, both old and New Testament.

Since we are not reading anything in to this creation, where in this creation does it says Adam and Eve were or got married to each other? Did God make a mistake and had to or tried to correct it later,or did man try to correct it later?
Being single is OK, I think each person defines being single. Sometimes I prefer to be alone. I have in the past had several girlfriends and if I felt lonely I called until I found one that I could go visit or one that could visit me.

God created Adam and then created Eve as a companion to Adam. They weren't created at the same time.

Homosexuality is not a disease and you are not born a homosexual. It is simply a lifestyle choice, a fad, a simple rebellion against society and it religous norm.
I would like to know how is it that a perfectly normal hetrosexual male can go to prison and come out a homosexual. He is condition to be a homosexual. No women, he has to fight his urges and finally he gives in to his urges thus creating a homosexual. It's the same way with priests. How do kids learn to be homosexual, the same way they are taught to be a racist, violent, preppy, a goth, etc.......

A Homosexual's lifestyle is a sin. Some People don't condemn it or condone it but God say "it's better to marry then to burn" therefore single straight believers should remain celibate. You non-believers can whatever you want! I COULDN'T CARE LESS.

I sure to say homosexuality is wrong! So is robery, murder, rape
incest, lying cheating, and other sexual misconduct.
For you and those who claim to know the same God as I, and yet believe that homosexuality isn't wrong, I will continue to pray for
all of you to see the truth, and that you may come to know My Saviour Jesus Christ.
Being single is not wrong. Sex outside of marriage( between a
man and a woman) is also wrong.
