This is my band and we have 4 originals posted. It isnt a great recording (Not a top notch recording studio), but I would just like to know how you think our instrumental potential is, as we are all 16 years old.

The instrumentals are the best thing about this band. The guitars and drum, sound like you have years of experience.
The vocalist sounds like a cross between Dylan and Tom Petty. Politics is the best vehicle for this vocalist. Try using other vocals in Save me and Breakaway...the vocals are drowning, in the instruments.
I am not saying that vocalist doens't have potential ...it is just that you need to work together. Don't give up...you are on the right track. (get the pun)

I listened to all 4 tracks, and I think you all have a lot of potential. If you'd like some constructive criticism, read on, as I have been a playing, professional musician for over 20 years, my advice may be beneficial to you. First off, your bass player is a damned METRONOME, and the best thing the band has going for it. Follow his lead. On that note, I would suggest the bass player work on scales, and work in some fills in the songs. The reason for this is the drummer is kind of manic. Keeps a decent beat, but like to race on, especially on fills. CLOSE the high hat a little more often. It's overbearing. And use the toms and floor bass to follow the bass guitar on fills, instead of killing the snare. That will help with the run on, as well as keeping everyone much tighter. I can't remember the name of the 4th track, but there was some really nice guitar work in there, but on the first 3 tracks, the guitar work was kind of busy. Tone it down a hair and work on technique, as opposed to raw speed. As for the lead singer, he's a little monotone. Some backup vocals in high range harmony would really accent him well. Also maybe experiment with a flange unit or vocal processor to wetten up his vocals a bit, as he's very dry. Start with a multi flange accent with about 3 repeats at 300 milliseconds, and adjust from there. All in all, it was a very impressive experience, knowing your ages and abilities. I look forward to hearing your future work. Keep rehearsing, and GOOD LUCK!

Well I can't hear what you made... so four recordings don't amount for much these days... as there are kids meaning in single digits that are doing that... the Metallica Garage days of making a single and getting picked up are out... too many people and you know they all have "talent"
