some "manly" mixed drinks I can try? I'm kind of new to drinking (yes I am 21). All the ones that look tasty someone says they are supposedly for women or gays. So I just end up ordering a beer.

Boilermaker, Gentlemen's Cocktail, Damn-the-snow, Brave Bull, Bloody Mary, Harvey Wallbanger, Italian Screwdriver, Hardball Cooler, Slow Comfortable Screw, Naked Pretzel, *******, Dirty Ashtray, Hummer, Gorilla Snot, Alien Secretion, Cement Mixer, Blackjack, Open Wound, Alabama Slammer, Kamikaze or just scotch and water ;)

If you really want to be "manly", I suggest going out and ordering whatever drink you want and not worrying about what other people think!

I say this because: 1) no one, and I mean absolutely no one is going to be paying attention to your drink! There are so many drinks that look alike and people have so much on their own minds that they have no time to pay attention to YOUR drink....

and 2) You're going to get drunk after a couple of drinks....and when you're drunk a lot of times you can't even tell the difference between guys and gals....let alone their drinks and how manly they are....

go out and drink up.....just make sure u don't mistake guys for gals and also make sure that u don't drive!

Rum and coke, gin and tonic, whiskey sour, greyhound (gin and grapefruit juice). Plus the following mixed drinks:

Manhattan

3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
2 1/2 oz Blended Bourbon
dash Angostura bitters
2 or 3 Ice cubes
1 twist of Orange peel

Combine the vermouth, whiskey, bitters and ice in a mixing glass. Stir gently, don't bruise the spirits and cloud the drink. Pour the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Rub the cut edge of the orange peel over the rim of the glass and twist it over the drink to release the oils but don't drop it in.

Mojito (moe-hee-toe)

2-3 oz Light rum
Juice of 1 Lime (1 oz)
2 tsp Sugar
2-4 Mint sprigs
Soda water

Lightly muddle [smush up] the mint and sugar with a splash of soda water in a mixing glass until the sugar dissolve and you smell the mint. Squeeze the lime into the glass, add rum and shake with ice. Strain over cracked ice in a highball glass. Top with soda water, garnish with mint sprig and serve.

Lynchburg Lemonade

1 part Jack Daniels
1 part Triple sec
1 part Sweet and sour, mix
4 parts Sprite

Mix well and serve! (Multiplies well for parties)

rye and ginger/coke, JD on the rocks, anything straight really. I say you tell the someone who says those are girly drinks to go stick it up ther a$$, if they look good, try them. singapor slings are delicious!

why don't u try like a jack and coke or 7&7 ( my favorite!!), or screw drivers who cares what people say.....Mai Tai's are really yummy too, also long island iced teas are good, and they don't come in a fancy glass, like a margarita or whatever!!! lol, expeirment!!!!! and have fun! Just drive sober please!!
