Apple cider vinegar. Rub it on ur head. I read it online. Also Nizoral. There is no cure really. You have to constantly take care of it. Good Luck

First off lets say what dandruff IS, it is dried flakes of skin..any good Dandruff Shampoo applied every other day (or even daily) will help, and use a bath brush on your scalf to help loosen up the dead skin cells. I suppose your hair is overly oily to begin with (most people that have dandruff have an oily scalp) so the frequent washings will also cure that problem.

Actually what you need to find is a tar shampoo. While Head and Shoulders and Selson Blue may work, tar shampoo works the best for extreme dandriff or scalp psorisis. I know it sounds odd thinking of tar, what they use to pave road's, will help with dandriff. But...trust me it does. My ex-husband had it bad and we saw several dermotoligist's and one finally recommended this line of treatment. He used T/Gel Theraputic Shampoo and Conditioner and it seemed to work. There are more expensive brands that are even better, but you can get T/Gel most anywhere.

Here is a link with all the kinds you can find and some more information on Coal Tar Shampoo.

wow, I love how advertising works in the US, everyone is suggesting things, and don't really have any clue
...are you sure it's dandruff? Most people think their dry flaky scalp is dandruff, when dandruff is actually a scalp condition with an oily scalp. There is a neutrogena shampoo, T/Gel, that was recommended by my dermatologist for seborric dermatitis, which is basically dandruff not on the scalp, that has worked fantastically for me

T Gel works best for me. Head and Shoulders and Nizoral do not work on my dandruff.

My mom says selsun blue, but she also says it makes your scalp feel like its on fire for about 10 minutes, like its burning the dandruff away. But if you dont want the pain, then do head and shoulders, it doenst work as good though.
