Most people don't do yelling for fun. Instead of trying to change him, you might first want to think about what exactly you did that triggers him - that way your ear's gonna feel much better and he'll get by the day without sore throat. Good luck Kaitlin :)

maybe your dad is feeling a little upset about something that's been going on. try to wait a few weeks then comfront him and just say, "dad, i feel like you've been a little mean lately and we need 2 talk." if that doesn't work try talking 2 your mom and hopefully she'll approach your dad.

I am a father and he may be stressed out. He may be directing his anger/frustration at you just because you are there. I would ask him what is wrong. Is it difficult to get anything from your question, so I assume you are under 18.

Stop pissing him off!

No, seriously, dad's are just afraid that there little girls are going to grow up and they don't like that. Just try to keep an open line of communication with him and SHOW him that he can trust you and that you WANT to talk to him.

Maybe he has other things on his mind and this is his way of releasing his anger or frustration. You should ask your mum or even your dad is there a problem he wants to talk about.
He may also be under a lot of stress...
