My exboyfriend and I broke up a month ago after being together for almost 2 years. I've been dealing ok and have actually starting talking to some guys. There is one inparticular who has sparked my interest. He's really sweet but says he wants to make sure I'm ready for the relationship before we go any further. We spend time together almost everyday and are totally into each other. I feel as though I'm ready, but is it too soon??? Please give me ur feedback as far as how soon is too soon to start dating after ending a serious relationship!! Thanks to everyone who helps!!

It's not really an issue off time. Do you still talk about your ex a lot? How often do you think about him? Positively or Negatively. It doesn't really matter because if you still fixate on him you are not ready. Have you re-established your self as a separate person?
If you are completely free of the other guy then you are ready. One thing you could do is go away for the weekend by yourself or with a few friends. Have a screamer of a week end as a final goodbye to being a couple and a hello to the new you. Show the new guy that you are willing to take the steps needed to get completely free. Even if you feel you already are. Maybe a visual display would be in order.

About 2yrs ago I ended a 21yrs relationship. It took sometime to heal and to get over that emptiness. But each person heals at their own pace. Let no other person tell you what's to early. ONLY YOU CAN ANSWER THAT!. If you have feeling for this person flow with it. Take it slow don't be to serious to quickly.
