He likes you, but there is a huge ethics question here. In today's workplace environment, it's very easy to be charged with sexual harassment, so workplace relationships are almost impossible to get into. If he asks you out or something, and you are not into it, and you report him to his management, he will be fired and his record may not allow him to get another good job EVER. Then, you might sue him, and he would lose his house.
I'm sure he's a nice guy, since he has treated you with respect, but he would definitely like to get to know you better. However, YOU are going to have to make the first move, so that he knows he won't get in trouble for talking to you. He's been dropping hints like crazy, but you are going to have to take the next step if you want something to happen.
If you don't want anything to happen between you, you will have to tell him right to his face, since he could get in trouble for even mentioning it to you. Otherwise, he is just going to keep dropping hints and bugging you.
He sounds like a keeper - I'd say go for it!

Well, you might mention casually he is making this 'eye contact' for 3 seconds and see if anyone like comments.. if they say 'ohhh yeahhh' and laff like you're sunk I guess. Hey, you did say they noticed the eye contact (so that's good.) This might be all this guy IS going to do.. you ever have office parties, somewhere to run into him? You've got to be the clever one, tho.. it can't look like 'a set up.' I'm guessing (it's an office, right?) he's semi intelligent. These kinds are tougher to rope in sometimes, honey.. (but worth it..) You gotta play hard to get. Can you do the same 'stare him in the eyes for 3 second' deal? (It's a start.) He might play this w/you for a while.. hang in there.. Sooner or later he'll check you out (w/your friends.. they'll tell ya.) He'll ask you out for say a 'business lunch' .. it'll take off from there I am betting.. (ANd he sounds very respectful! when guys like someone that's how the good ones act.. bad ones? they are nasty/too obvious.. you don't wanna go there..) later- gluck melancholia

It sounds like you are getting signals. Keep giving eye contact with a nice smile.

Men are soooo very confusing. For some reason, they won't just say hey, I like you. They love to drop little hints, and if they're shy, it's WAY worse! My suggestion... Talk to him. Let him know you are interested.

well, the look in the eye thing is a positive thing. they also try to avoid you when u r walking in a hallway and try to avoid crossing paths, we also like to ask people very much about you, like talk to your friends and they also start TAKING SHOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!
