I have naturally dark brown hair and have been going out in the sun alot and it has gotten alot lighter but it's still not blonde! my mom has noticed the change but says it is fine! So can any of you tell me how to convince her to let me bleach it or at least dye it blonde?!?!? AND DON'T SAY GET HIGHLIGHTS BECAUSE I ALREADY HAVE HAD'EM!!!

Don't do it, it will kill your hair and you'll regret it later.

I LOVE MY BLONDE HAIR! And no its not natural but you can't tell. You should spend atleast $80 at the salon if you want a real dye job. Then get your hair dresser to do your roots every 6 weeks. Otherwise, brunettes who do it themselves at home will get an ugly orange artifical colour that looks soooooooooooooooo ugly. Hair dressers make fun of those people and call them box colour heads. Wait until you're older and can afford it, if you start dying now your hair will be like mine when you get older. Damaged, frizzy and breaking. Trust me, nothing is hotter than natural hair on a woman!!!! As long as its not frizzy and orange or something!

Bleaching ones hair takes out the natural oils and makes the hair dry and brittle, causes split ends and makes one appear to be a "haystack with feet", in simple terms it will totally ruin your hair. If you are still "totally bent on being blonde" then wash yr hair and get all the oil out, dry it thoroughly, then wash it/soak it again with Hydrogen Peroxide, and let it "set" awhile to lighten the hair... but don't say I didn't warn you. As much as we hate to say it .. "Mom just might be right this time" *gasp* (ducks head, covers with hands and runs for shelter) Nye

You have to condition, condition, and DEEP condition bleached hair. You are TOO YOUNG for bleached hair.

Maybe you can get her to pull some through a cap and put a blonde color on it. You better start slow. You may not even look right as a blonde.

You're 13. Respect your Mom's decision. Talk with her about when she feels you will be old enough to bleach your hair, and remind her that it will grow back. Mothers are great when it comes to keeping their word, so ask her when, and then wait. More important than your hair is the respect you need to show your Mom.

i think that you're a little too young for highlights too.. but if you would like to try some other things i have a few sugestions...

you could try sun-in from any drugstore.. or lemon juice will work.. and even some shampoos like ones by john frieda wil make your hair lighter if you blow dry it..

GOOD LUCK!! <33
