You should really go see your family doctor and let him or her know what is going on. They can prescribe antdepresants and antianxiety medications to fit your specific needs. Breathing exercises and hobbies help also, they help keep you mind off of things.

You're just starting to worry it's affecting your relationships? Try keeping a log or journal everyday for the next month. Concentrate on how you feel and write it down. This should help you see a pattern of what's happening to you right before an attack starts. If you cannot avoid the situation that leads to these feelings that then bring on the anxiety see a counselor. Good luck and remember life's short so keep living it till you can't.

Well I feel so bad for you cuz I also suffer from this. I have all my life. Therapy definitely can help a lot. Benzos such as Ativan and Clonazepam help greatly but they are very addictive. They could help you temporarily while you get therapy to start gaining control over your anxiety.
There are many good books out there on the subject. You don't 'need' to be drugged out on meds either. Lots of it is manageable through self-control, through the power of your own mind. You really should seek medical/professional help though. Everyone is different, so it would be hard to find the answers online without getting real life diagnosis and help.
Best of luck to ya. Remember, keep stress out of your life as much as possible in the meantime.

hello i to have anxiety also. i take visterill for my anxiety. i know its very stressful and its hard to go through an anxiety attack. so when i go through one this is what i do.... i stop whatever it is i am doing i sit down and take a deep breath.... i ask my self this question.... what is the problem.... if i can answer it then if i cant answer the question then i talk to someone. either on the phone or on the net... they have mental health chats here on the net... if i can answer the question what is the problem and say ok what can i do about it.... then i come up with a solution to the problem... sometimes it can be post traumatic and its one little thing that sets you off... but you have to control your breathing and you have to stay calm.... this is very difficult to do but its a must or you can faint by your breathing..... try and relax and practice techniques to handle stress..... sometimes we have to change our friends and our enviorment to make it less stressful... i have done both of these things it wasn't it easy but my peace of mind comes first. i hope this helps if you want to talk to me about it more you can email me at mindythompson09139@msn.com or message me on yahoo

The Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety has a program you can order for a free trial. It takes a little work, but leads you along with cd's and a workbook. It's got a money back guarantee. It's definitely worth a look, and worth the price if it works! It doesn't get better on it's own, but with practice you can overcome on your own with this program. Good Luck!

See a DR quickly. Record anything you can about each event to help yourself and the DR understand what's going on. Get books on the subject to educate yourself. If it is anxiety, it's not going to kill you, even though it may feel that way
