Check on the side of your PC... if it was bought with XP already installed there's a sticker with your CD-key # on it.

I hope your eyes are better than mine... it's really tiny, but legible.

If the computer still has XP on it, you can retrieve the key by using Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder.

There are some computers that have it right below or on the same sticker as the serial key. (usually found on the back of the computer)

Failing all of this, you might try Microsoft's support (though they may attempt to charge you if you can't provide proof that you own your copy of Win XP)

Call a locksmith * * * ok the real answer is goto start then to all program then to system tools and click on activate windows and choice an option one of them will work if you can not do it on the net select your county find a 1 800 number and speak to an operator and naswer questions and get a new key then every time after that you need to call if you need to reinstall or renew license

Well, assuming you still have the original disk and receipt, simply contact Microsoft and they will give you a new product key.

If you have a pirated version, don't bother. They won't give you anything.

and if all the above fail, find a college student and tell them to get you one from the school system administrator :)
