you should have been more compassionate. Your daughter's feelings are more important than your shopping. Come on. I think any decent mother would have taken her to either get a new pair of pants right away or tried to clean up the stain, and if not then went home. And you should not have made fun of her, in such an embarrassing moment. You oughta be ashamed. I would apologize to her.

That's really mean of you. Maybe for boys it's different, but girls have been conditioned by our culture to have an acute sense of "how do I look." If she had a stain on the seat of her pants, you should have told her and maybe let her sit somewhere while you shopped. I'm curious: would YOU have continued shopping if you'd had such a stain on your pants? Don't rub it in by putting stained underwear on her doorknob - that'll make it worse and only frustrate her more. An apology is definitely in order. You're right that she'll get over it though.

Damn right you should apologize. You let your beloved little girl walk around a mall where she might be remember or recognized, looking like she had s**t her pants? When a baby does that you take them straight away and clean them up! How would have felt in her position?
I am shocked by this question and your behavior. If you now tease her about this, you will be the most insensitive lout who has ever set foot on this earth and she should never speak to you again! How can she ever trust you again? You made a fool of her and you think it is funny! May she return the favor!

You f'ed up by not taking her home. Can you imagine if you had to walk around the mall with sh*t stained pants? Your probably so selfish that you would whine and holler until somebody bought you a new pair of pants. Don't make this a joke, becasue it did affect your daughter in a negative way. Don't be selfish, be a good parent.

Being a kid is harder than most people can remember, because their peers nowadays are much harsher and colder than they were when we were younger. I doubt she's scarred for life, but I'm sure that it will be something that she'll remember for the rest of it. And unless you want that negative thought in her head forever, your best bet it to apologize to her (as much as it sucks to do that), and try to empathize with her too. Cause it truely does sound like an embarrassing ordeal, and being teased by her friends will start to affect her academic concentration with will later affect her grades and such. Just try to be understanding and sooner or later it will be forgiven.

Wow that statement makes no sense. first off she farted a stain and wanted to go home, next she didnt kow the stain was there. and why in the heck were you looking at your daughters butt? that is just plain wrong. With fathers like you, it no wonder that kids are messed up. Dude, do us all a favor and give up your rights as a father, you and her will be better off.

You are a complete @ss and I think YOU should be made to walk around in public for an entire day with YOUR sh*t stained undies on your head! You have got to be the most insensitive clod I have ever seen in my life. People like you are the reason that we should require licensing to HAVE children.

Poor girl lol, well i think u should have taken her home because it was embarassing towards her, and nobody wants to look at a brown stain behind somebody's pants. Lol i don't think you scarred her for life though, she's just a kid, and one day when she grows up, she'll laugh at what happened.

Why did you ask this question so many times? I think that you really don't have a kid, you don't seem to be very mature at all. Maybe you just have a thing for 9 year old girls. If you do have a kid, I feel sorry for her.
