and the last three days he hasnt eaten much but he does drink water. During this time, he is very lethargic and today he can't move. He stands up but falls down. I took him to the vet a few months ago and the vet said he was very healthy and now i don't understand why he is like this. I am very afraid he might not live much longer. Has anyone ever had a cat act like this and get better? Does anyone might know what he has and what I can do?

So sorry,it sounds like leukemia-was he vaccinated? Only the vet can say but sure sounds like a couple of mine before there was a vaccine.

TAKE HIM TO THE VET!

Obviously things can change in a few months time. As to what may be causing the problem, I am not a vet, but I had a friend whose dog had a similar problem. Some kind of ear infection that made him dizzy. I don't know if that is what's wrong with your cat though. Best thing is to get him to the vet.

it could be anything from a bowel obstruction to a serious condition. Just try to make him comfy. If you have an emergency vet clinic, then go there.. if not.. call the vets office. if they dont give you an after hours number.. then try to go on-line and look up a "hot-line" type number for over the phone vet advice. Just stay calm.. the kitty can tell if you are upset.

Drinking too much water is a sign of possible kidney failure. My cat is going through this and now I have to give him injections at home to keep his system flushed out. Have the vet test him for high protein levels in his blood stream. They also have a special kidney diet to follow although my cat didn't go for it. Good luck!

TAKE HIM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY. if you don't soon, his problem will be prolonged and may be uncurable. my friend has a dog, old too who woke up in screaming pain because he couldn't move. the next day after going to the vet, i couldn't tell old sparky had gone through anything. CALL YOUR VET, DON'T WAIT. a few months back at the vet doesn't mean anything! the cat could have done anything or caught anything to BE THIS SICK! DON'T SLACK, PICK UP THE PHONE!

He might not have eaten because it's hot or there's been a change. It's a good thing that he's drinking water because at least he's getting his fluid. If you want, you can feed him chicken broth instead of water just don't give it to him hot, but warm. What kind of food is he on? My dog gets like this prettymuch every summer. If he's not eating his food, you can try feeding him canned food but don't want to be doing toomuch because that's all he'll be craving. Anymore questions and you may e-mail me.

My labrador who gets like that when she gets a problem with her ears. She stands all Aframed, titles her head to one side & won't eat. TAKE HIME TO THE VET NOW!!! pay the emergency call fee. Ask to make payments anything to save your little buddy! vets check their messages over the weekend. At least mine does.

This happened to our cat that was twice that age. I would take him to the vet and make sure your family says their last goodbyes you may not come home with him
