Or was he a prophet?

2006-06-25 13:42:35 · update #1

Exactly the kinda answers you'd expect frm christians. Kimberely i believe his last words were "Hey Ram" not "Jesus". Marie he's not in a grave he was cremated. Shows how ignorant you ppl are really. I believe he got moksha. If your christian god accepts ppl in heaven for accepting him "in name" but living an evil life i believe he's not god. You ppl make me sick and give me more strength to continue against christianity and islam.

Gandhi, me, you, the president - it doesn't matter who. No. He did not go to hell. Life always goes on. This is where reincarnation comes in. You keep living your life until you have become all light and grace. This is what most do not get. What goes around, comes around until you "get it."

Hell is said that this place was made for the little naughty angels. Well this is also what people don't get. It is made for the angels. That is their place, not yours. Don't get me wrong though. No doubt many have been there, but it was not from God, well, unless he needed to get a point across because one has been too stubborn. There can be many reasons. But I asure you that Hell is only a place for the angels that have done wrong. The myth of Heaven and Hell is only here to take advantage of others. To control them. To scare them. This is what preachers are now-a-days. They have their leadership and they abuse the position. Pity really. I hope this explains things. Cheers!

If he can stand before God and honestly say he never broke any of God's Laws, then I guess God would have to let him in to heaven.

HOWEVER --- the Bible says that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Going to hell isn't about being a Christian or not - it's because we have broken God's Laws and deserve the penalty.

God sent Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins (ie crimes against God), so when someone turns to Jesus as their savior and repents - turns away from - their sins, then the guilt is wiped away, they are reconciled with God, and God will usher him or her into heaven after they die.

The question is not where Gandhi went. The real question is where will YOU spend eternity?

First of all, everyone that wrote in their answers is entitled to their opinion. So here is mine. When you die, you do not go to HELL or HEAVEN. If you read your BIBLE and pray for understanding that is, only if you believe in the word of GOD.You will go back to the dust where you came from. you are in the grave until the first resurrection that is, if you died believing in JESUS and kept HIS commandments. So Gandhi is in the grave waiting just like the rest of the people that have died. Only GOD can and will judge him. If Gandhi did not accept JESUS, his fate is sealed what about yours? where will you spend eternity?

All people who do not believe in Jesus will be prohibited from entering the kingdom of heaven. Only God and Gandhi know if he died without Jesus. He may have believed in those last moments.

Only God knows what he did before he died...We go to the heaven only through Jesus...maybe he entered to Paradise first, got some more teachings and then he choses Jesus...

no. dont you think it would be a little odd if anyone whos not christian would go to hell. isnt that a bit not fair, since god is so forgiving, why would he send everyone who doesnt believe in him to hell... this just makes no sense.

Very simply, if he did not accept Christ as Lord and Savior, he went to hell.
