Why do guys do this?

Question

why ask a girl for her number and then never call? or why give her yours and ask to call but then say "Can I call you back?" and then don't?

I'm just wondering because not long ago I met a guy who was all over me and then he asked me to call him because he didn;t have a phone with him so I did and he asks me if he can call back and then he doesn't...I hope he has a good excuse, not that thats gonna change anything now

Oh pls, girls do the same thing all the time... i think in the spur of the moment ppl are willing to give their #'s out but then, the next day, they're too busy, to unwilling to try a new person, or just too hugn over to remmember who they gave their # to....I think if u wanna holla at someone let them know thats the case, dont play games, ppl waste their time and others by playing the whole 'i'll call u' game... thats whats up...

Guys ask for a girl's number almost as a reflex sometimes. And later we either think you're not as interesting as we thought you were at the time, or we think you weren't really that interested in us and don't want to get rejected, so we don't call. You should train yourself to expect a guy not to call when you give him your number, that way when he does you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Because it's an ego trip for them. I never take a guys number. I look at him like his just offered me a piece of chocolate, that has half melted in his hand.
Guys are ment to be the ones to persue, not you.
If he asks for your number, then act like his the fifth guy to do so that day, no big deal. If he calls he calls, if he doesn't then it is his loss.

Maybe it's astupid confidence booster for them know ing some girl is wasting her time waiting for their stupid call. Just next time be like "oh no, let me have YOUR number and I will call you back". Then you do what you want, either throw it away or call him. However, he will be impressed you're not like the other girls just giving their number and wating, you go for what YOU want. Man hunt.

Its cause girls mostly play games. Saying they maybe sort of like you, then when you say you do want her, she thinks, well something must be wrong with him if he likes me that much, can't do any better. Pathetic, why would I want him etc. Its just payback. He wants to cut through the crap I think.
