If you mean .. Pencil* right .. this question i think will be answered best by the catholics . i am not one but i can share a general comment on it ..mother Theresa is not the only one that is a pencil to God .. all those that work in God's vine yard are pencils of God ... we are pencil .. or more generally (instruments) in the hand of the creator (God).. just like an artist is the master and the pencil is the instrument . you can't say the pencil did the work .. but the artist, so like wise was Mother Theresa and other workers or doer or God's word... God used her to fulfill his plan and purpose for mankind ...

Ok, I am about to sound like a sacrilegious b itch here, but in my opinion, Mother Theresa could have put aside her strict, anti birth control beliefs so that the people she was trying to help would not continue to give birth to children they couldn't afford to feed. I think she made a lot of progress, but unfortunately, her religious views only allowed her to treat the symptoms and not the disease.

She said that. She said she was a tiny bit of God's writing instrument, i.e., His pencil. In other words, she was part of what he wanted to do (or write). She did his bidding and in this way was God's aide [or assistant or pencil ...pencil being used if you're talking about a writer (a creator) and his written material (or in this instance, the experiences of life)...i.e. the word "pencil" would be used by a more creative soul..perhaps she was creative in that sense]. She said she only wanted to make something beautiful for God. Her exact quotes are at this site.

This makes me wonder about God and the pencil. Can I pray to my pencil and get the same response? Hmmm...could very well be.
