I would makesure I used a good 30 plus sunscreen and followed the rules of "slip, slop, slap". If you don't know, it stands for slip on clothes, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat. It sounds like you have sensitive skin given that you have been badly sunburnt and get freckles. You need to make sure that you take care in the sun so you don't get skin cancer. Melanoma or skin cancer is a serious disease.

To prevent or detect melanomas (and increase survival rates), it is recommended that you:

* Learn what they look like (see "ABCDE" mnemonic below.)
* Are aware of moles and check for changes (shape, size, color, itching or bleeding)
* Show any suspicious moles to a doctor with an interest and skills in skin malignancy.

A popular method for remembering the signs and symptoms of melanoma is the mnemonic "ABCDE":

* Asymmetrical skin lesion.
* Border of the lesion is irregular.
* Color: melanomas usually have multiple colors.
* Diameter: moles greater than 5 mm are more likely to be melanomas than smaller moles.
* Evolution: The evolution (ie change) of a mole or lesion may be a hint that the lesion is becoming malignant.

Make sure you speak to your doctor regularly about any problems.

Usually if you get more freckles you will see them with the burn. The next time you burn you might see more. You need to use that aloe vera gel it's green at a department store. It will help soothe it. Use sun block spf 30 at least next time even if it is cloudy.

You should ALWAYS wear skin SPF protection. Even makeup, foundation, has it it it now. No need to tan your face. Just wear the foundation or even a bronzer (if you're a female, of course). the sun as you should know will cause wrinkles too. Give it 5 to 10 years and watch them grow. Wear SPF all of the time. For now, stay out of the sun and no warm showers as the warm water will make it itch and maybe even peel. good luck
