Two years ago my brother passed away. We were very close. Two weeks after his funeral, my phone rang. When I checked the caller id the number was 1-111-111-1111, I answered it and there was no one there. This happened four more times with the same number. The last time it occured I heard an Angels baseball game in the background, (the Angels were not playing that day, I checked) the Angels was his favorite team. I spoke into the phone and said. "Thank you Frank, I know you are alright". After that he did not call again. Two nights before that he called my mom and said "hey sexy whats cooking". That is how he always answered the phone to her.

My Grandmother dies five years ago and we were cleaning out her half of her daughter's house and i went by her tea cup collection that she loved. She had one favorite tea cup that was White with gold lace design and a gold trim. It was beautiful. I picked it up and began to cry thinking of her when a tissue well more like a handkerchief fell from the hutch. there was no handkerchief originally and there were my grandmother's initials on the handkerchief. I guess she was looking out for me but that's not my first or the last.

I have 2 for you:

1. When my grand mother was dying we joked about her coming back to let me know what happens. She said she would just send me a letter because she wouldn't want to scare me.

About 3 or 4 days after she died, I woke up with a strange certainty that death does not hurt and it is just a transition from one state of existence to another - easy. I immediately thought of my grandmother and felt that this was her "letter" to me. It was wonderful.

2. My husband had a very vivid dream when we were first engaged that he was talking to both of our Maternal Grandmothers (they share a birthday - which was the date we met the year after they both died). In his dream he was talking to them and they explained to him that it was them who brought us together and that they both thought we were an excellent match. He woke clearly shaken.

I believe I have.

My grandmother (Nanny) was a very special person to me, and I, to her. After her funeral, everyone was splitting up her jewelry, who-gets-what sorta thing. Well, everyone got really upset when they found out that that Nanny had left me all over her turquoise jewelry. After all, I was the only one who ever admired her collection. Needless to say I was feeling really hurt that everyone was treating me with such disgust. I went outside and cried. My mother came out and handed me a little figure carved out of wood that she just found. Keep in mind that I'm Pagan and my family is Christian. The wooden figure was a Buddha statue carved out of cherry wood! My favorite kind of wood is cherry wood, and I admire Buddha! I asked my mom where she got it. She told me Nanny had it for years, even before I was born.

I think it was Nanny trying to tell me "Chin up". I stopped crying and I was happy for the rest of the day.

The famous magician Harry Houdini spent much of his later life exposing people who claimed to be able to contact the dead. And, he made arrangements to contact his wife after he died, if he could do so.

He never did and after ten years, she gave up trying.

No, and I don't believe we can talk with the dead. They are in heaven or hell, and they are NOT concerned with talking with us; just worshiping God. They may or may not be thinking of loved ones of course...and messages would probably from a demon.

It is possible I believe but God says do not dabble in this occult because the devil is real and the devil will lead you to believe it is a loved one and it will not be

One time I thought my dad was talking to me saying "it's okay" when I lost a pregnancy in the fifth month. I grieved so bad.

my grandmother came to me one night. she didn't really have a human form, she was just like a mist. but i knew right away it was her. i was 15 and not a small kid but it was like she surrounded me and lifted me up. then put me back down on the bed and slowly disappeared. i knew then she would always be with me and that she would always watch over me.
