If he has a girlfriend then unless they break up you dont really have a choice but to wait.It is kinda romantic that your in love but he is off limits.Ive had experinces like that before and they usually work out okay!So dont worry and let time take its course!

oookay here we go!
i am in the exact place as you are! minus the camp thing
i talk to him every night on the phone and i went over to his house once and made out with him (yes yes even tho he has a gf)
i told him to make a list of pros and cons between our relation ship and a list of pros and cons between him and his gf
together we made the list of pros and cons between us and there were no cons!
now he says he thinks he is gonna dump his gf for me...
soo... i guess what you do is give him a reason to break up with his gf
make him know that you and him would be better off than him and his gf
soooo talk to him! alot! and talk about your "getting to know each other" lol-- tell him it was really hot!

If he hasn't dumped his gf for you yet, he still has feelings for her. Do not interfere with their relationship. It only makes things worse. Don't sit around and wait for him either. You have your life to live as well.
If he wants to be with you, that's great. But he needs to break off the old relationship. If not, it was just one of those short-lived flings.

don't agree to "get to know him" again unless he's broken up with the other girl or you'll wind up just being the one hidden in the back room. If he really does like you then he'll break up with her.
