Is there a way around this? I heard that you don't have to show up to take care of the ticket, only because the ticket was not personally served to you. There is no way to prove you recieved it by mail. ???

Say someone stole your car, and change your hair color.

LOL if you say you didn't get it in the mail they'll still add it too your record and put a warrant out for your arrest for failure to appear or pay fines.

The only chance you have is if its not your car and they sent the ticket to someone else (their car) or someone else was driving your car and you can take the photo in and prove it too the judge. Good luck with that one.

Nope, there is no way around it. It's the perfect way to enforce.

You may not have to appear in court but you certainly better ante up the fine or it will continue to go up until you are finally brought in, in handcuffs.

LOL I hope you don't try to tell them you never received it in your mail delivery......that is such an old whiskered tale they may charge you even more for trying it.

you do not. you go and pay it like a good little girl. And regardless whether you recieved it or not it will be on your driving record and after a length of time your license will be suspended and a warrent will be issued. And yes dear you do have to show up to take care of it.

you have to prove that it was not you driving. my hubby got a running red light photo ticket, but it came to me because my name is on the car first. i took them my time card from work and got out of it.

Way out is not to overspeed and drive responsibly. if you are driving illegally and irresponsibly, you oughtta get a ticket and pay up. If you are trying to find an illegal way to avoid it, you shouldn't even be allowed to have your license.

Hire a lawyer to argue that the photo cop is unconstitutional.

If you feel you are innocent hire a lawyer. If guilty pay it and be careful next time.

what you can do is, play their game, take a picture of the money order, check, or cashiers check, then mail that to them. See if they like that.

Tell them that it wasn't you driving the car and plead not guilty. The burden of proof is on them.
