I water it with rainwater and try my best to keep it damp, (Sits on a damp sponge) but after 2 months it's started wilting and losing some of its traps. The label says it likes sunlight, so I put it on a East facing windowsill to catch the sun in the morning. Could this be too much for it?

Thanks! :o)

it loves sun. but it doesnot love dry air!!!!. it must be partially covered to make damp greenhouse air around it. otherwise it would wilt no matter how much u water it. put the pot in a large jar or little aquarium with a lid and make holes in the lid just to allow SOME air circulation but not much. take it from direct sun until it recovers from the wilting. then take it back to sun - it will love it. the thing about flies and trashcan is nonsense that makes me laugh alot! am i right that the weather got hotter and more sunny in your country recently - that would explain the change. moisting and misting would not correct the problem because u would have to do it over and over and you probably cannot do so. if u make the thing with the partly open aquarium then it is maintenance-free until it runs out of water, that is for weeks - depending on the size of the dish or whether you put the water on the bottom of the aquarium, then it may be a full month. also forget about the spongge - just allow the vft a bit of water in the dish or aquarium. dont repot, at least not now. also dont feed it in this state, no way.

Only leave it in direct early sunlight for appx 1 hour not in afternoon sun. Water more spareingly if it is in a sponge.

It needs to be kept in warm conditions and won't like a draft. If the windowsill is drafty, you may want to move it, but make sure it gets plently of light.

No, it is not too much sunlight. I kept mine moist with a spray bottle. And when the whole plant is black and looks dead you put it in the Fridge for a while and start again.

DO NOT USE RAINWATER! If you want the best for your plant cover it with a plastic transparent cover and use DISTILLED WATER. I work at a greenhouse so please try this. Also I would like to know what kind of soil you use.

email me if you want to know more.

Keep it in a humidity dome, LOOSELY put a ziploc bag over the top or put it in a terrarium. Unless it's winter where you are, they do that in winter.

They don't like sun, they need a low pH soil, and you might be feeding it too much.
