Tell her that if you use scissors at home with an un-pro, your hair may be damaged and un-even. It isn't that expenxive for a cut at the salon. Tell your mom how you feel and that you prefer a salonist to cut you hair.

DO NOT LET HER CUT YOUR HAIR WITH REGULAR SCISSORS! Please get hair cutting scissors. You may think there's not that much of a difference but regular scissors are not sharp enough to cut hair and it's going to come out jagged looking.

NOOOOOO get hair-cutting scissors! never use regular home scissors for hair. buy some hair-cutting scissors, you can get some that aren't expensive at places like Family Dollar, Meijer's, Wal-Mart, or K-mart.

put ur hair up ina pony tail right on top of ur head as close to ur forehead as u can, then cut the ends off the pony tail, this will give u a layered effect with the shortest bits at the front and leave the rest long. tell her to only take a little off at time as u can alsways cut more off but u cant put it back on lol.

My mo cuts my bangs at home. Just use good sharp and thin sissiors nad cut very carefully. Also make sure the cut the hair when it is wet and brushed out straight.

Run Away! My mom cut me with buzz clippers, and I ended up with one side of my head bald and the other hair. When I went to school kids asked me "Did I lose a bet?" "Did I have cancer?" It was humiliating. Until this day I still hate my mother.

I just have to say that you don't have to go to a salon to get your hair to look good. I cut my own hair! What I do is just snip around everywhere so that in the end it's layered. It sounds really unprofessional, yet for me, it looks good in the end.

you will probably end up with jagged,"sawed off" ends. you dont want that . either get a better pair of scissors or go to a pro. leave the orange handled coupon cutters for coupons!!:)

If you can't talk her out of it, make sure the scissors are very sharp. And sit VERY still.
