Yeah, it sounds like you need to switch to another drug in the same class. I had the same problem with 60mg of Prozac per day, switched to Paxil 30mg and noticed the difference in about a week's time.

Another good one is Lexapro.

totally man totally! LOL at whole can of JonASS brothers... John Mayer's Waitin on the World to Change came to mind first.. but then I thought about it a bit more.. and realized that he was just saying that we are all waiting, no one is doing anything about it... so it was just empty criticism of how we, as a people, are just so apathetic this day in age. He didnt aim to "start the revoution" or take back the media, or anything.. just throwing it out there that we all don't care anymore..... and that's when the song lost my respect there. I listen to a lot of Bob Marley, a lot of Peter Tosh... those guys really sang and truly believed in peace and respect and tolerance for fellow man. I think we should all listen to a bit of Marley this evening, and get to some good ole, peaceful, happy times! Im either throwing on Bob Marley's Kaya or Natural Mystic when I drive home from work tonight!

I had a similar experience with paxil. i took it for 9 years and it stopped working. it happens with this class of medication. they suddenly stop working within a few months to years of taking them and no one knows why. the great thing is that all you need to do is be transitioned to another drug in the same class and there are several. find a good psychiatrist to help you through this and get you straightened out again. it was hard for me but i'm doing alright now on effexor. good luck!

It's not abnormal for medication to stop working after a time as your body chemistry changes. Please go back to your doctor and let him/her adjust the dose or prescribe another antidepressant. There are so many out there, you can be back to feeling like yourself again in no time.

Time to talk to your doctor and get a different perscription for an anti depressent. Sometimes your body gets used to one and needs a change.

Its possibly time to change your medication from Prozac to one of the other type meds...like example(Zoloft, paxel). Talk it over with you doc...and explain your feelings..and ask if you could try a different one. ASAP.

it's not the medication, it's you. from your words you are justifyed, and from your words you are condemed. if you talk yourself into being depressed then you are depress, stop talking about being depressed and start talking yourself into happyness, when im feeling sad i sing the muppet theme la la lala la la lalalala. or sing something you are familiar with, put on some cartoons listen to 91.3 christian music that is possitive and encouraging. change your whole surrounding and rejoyce instead of inviting people to a pitty party. im not trying to put you down, im trying to lift you up. if you ever want to talk i have ears that will listen. sincerely yours at heart trueagape from above.papi

Yeah its not working for you anymore and your body has become immune to it. Call your doctor and see if you can be switched to a new type.

Go back to your doctor. Maybe you need a change in dosage. Or maybe an alternative treatment.

good luck!
