animals are strange i think their kinda like people they know who they like and don't like, your sisters boyfriend is just one of the unlucky ones the cat doesn't like or one of the lucky ones depending on how he feels about the cat,i think if he likes the cat u & your sister should try to put the 2 together as much as possible and mabey things will change. Good Luck!

perhaps your cat doesn't have a good taste in men?

or perhaps the cat can detect stuff about people that we cant - so watch that guy very carefully.

Several years ago we used to have lodgers and we would invite prospective people to view the room. We would also check the cats reactions to these people also. One chap the cats took great exception to (no hissing or anything aggressive just avoidance) so he didn't get the room.

The next chap who came to view just felt right - and the cats loved him too. So he did get the room and many years later we are still in touch with that guy even after we all moved on to different parts of the country.

So never underestimate a cats perception (baring of course any possible 'doggie' smells and the like)

I have a dog that is very friendly but every now and then someone will come over that she runs and hides from... sits off at a distance and growls at. Animals have a sense about people that we can't see. There's something about your sister's boyfriend your cat doesn't like. Does your boyfriend have a dog? He may smell like his dog when he comes over and it upsets your cat. He could be wearing a cologne that irritates your cat, too. Hope this helps :)

LOL! the cat doens't like him, there might be something he might be doing to upset or frighten the cat, cause if the cat's hissing at him, he must've done something, I know, I have a cat, and the only time she hisses, is if she sees my mom, they don't get along, my mom hates cats.

Maybe you have a sexist cat. Or he gives off bad vibes that the cat senses. Some people think that animals are good judges of character. Maybe the cat's trying to say something...

The cat knows her boyfriend is a vampire. Animals can sense this. Go by what the cat says and the next time he comes over hold up a crucifix and see how he cringes.

Animals have an unique sense and if the cat doesn't like him, there is definitely something wrong with the guy. Animals are never wrong. And for the spraying of a water bottle...I will get the hose for you...

There's something about your sister's boyfriend that the cat doesn't like, or the cat isn't used to him. Animals can detect certain things they don't like by the person's personality. I would take caution.

animals sense the energy coming off of people, your sister's cat can probably tell that her boyfriend doesn't like cats or is afraid of them
