Grr what are you guys talking about? Okay..you can see a reflection but it's all rainbow-y, and it's not like that on commercial CDs. And I am talking about the BOTTOM side ......

Calm down, Mystery Lady!....there's nothing wrong with rainbow-y.

Commercial CD's have an additional layer of plastic over the outside of the "write side" which allows the surface to reflect more. If you look carefully you'll see there's a slight double image.
Other factors are:

How much info on the CD,

Some manufacturers use slightly matte plastic for coatings which aids a clear pick up from the laser rather than the slightly sloppy transfer mist caused by gloss coatings.

Disc quality.

It's probably the particular brand of CD-R you use.

Are they recordables or re-recordables?

Do you mean on the top-side? Because I see a reflection on the bottom-side...It's the reflective properties of the material used on the top of the storage medium.

you got some weird cd rs because i can see my reflection in every cd i have cd, cd r, or cd rw
